We were very happy with our hotel. We were very central, the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed (except a pot to poach eggs :)). We walked every where. The staff were great and very helpful.
The hotel was exactly where we needed it to be to get around Sydney. It is close to Chinatown, Paddy's Market and a Starbucks Coffee right across the road! The tram to central train station is right across the road and there was always something to go and see. The staff helped us book things and it turned out cheaper. The room was great for what we needed, and was always clean.
My daughter and I stayed here for 7 nights (Oct 2014) we had a great time, all staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently under renovation, so some rooms have been updated, and some still have the older decor. As we had chosen the cheapest package listed on Expedia, I thought we would probably be in one of the older decor rooms, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the room to find we had been given one of the newly refurbished rooms. The room was a comfortable size, with King-size bed, 2 seater lounge, 2 seat dinette table, large wardrobe in the entry area, en-suite bathroom, and small but well planned Kitchenette with all amenities incl dishwasher, our balcony view wasn't great but we didnt care :-) we hardly went out there. There is a Pool and Gym facilities on the rooftop, but I can't comment on those as we didn't go up there. I gave a slightly lower mark on "Hotel facilities & condition" only because you may encounters some minor inconveniences due to renovation works. Whilst we were there only one elevator was operational, and they were having a new intercom fitted to rooms, so we occasionally heard workmen drilling.
