“A great hotel”
This really was an excellent hotel. It's only a 2 minute walk away from the airport bus stop, and really easy to spot from the road too. The staff were all very friendly, the food in the hotel was great and the rooms were spotless and stylish - as was the hotel in general. The small pool area was great for quiet sunbathing, as well. Although, the best part definitely has to be the free minibar which is restocked every day! Some other reviewers have complained that the hotel is "too far" from the beach and the centre of town. We didn't find this to be a problem at all. The hotel is no more than a 10-15 minute stroll from the beach/town centre. Not only that, but it's a lovely walk through parks and promenades with kids play areas and little stalls. I'd really recommend this hotel to anyone and I'd definitely stay there again.
“Very good hotel”
Hotel was very clean and with good facilities. Pool facilities were excellent. Be prepared for a 10 minute walk to restaurants and beach.
“One to Stay At”
Hotel was clean, all rooms had a free minibar, u could have extra drinks from cleaning ladies for free. Roof top pool kept very clean and tidy, definetely recommend holiday makers to go there, and will visit it again. Staff were friendly, made you feel welcome and acted in a professional manner at all times. 1 tip learn spanish before you go, very little english spoken by staff.
“Great modern hotel”
Spotlessly clean, utterly modern, friendly and efficient service... just a nice place to be. Free minibar full of soft drinks and the odd beer are just what you need in the hot climate too. Possible negatives I'd have to point out are the location - not exactly central, and although it isn't far it seems like a long way downtown in the heat - and the total lack of atmosphere in the lounge.
“AC Alicante Review”
Probably more of a business hotel than a leisure break but was very swish and modern and we loved the roof pool which is so private. Only a 10 minute walk to the centre so a great location too. The staff didn't speak much English and our Spanish is also poor so no blame to them (only us) but made ordering everything difficult. Take a Spanish Dictionary too.
“Great Find”
This is a new property and the staff is eager to please. The rates are very good for the quality of the Hotel.
“Fantastic for business or pleasure”
Very clean, very modern hotel overlooking the ocean. Friendly staff. Just a few blocks off the core touristy area of Alicante. The gym and the roof top pool are a welcome bonus. Highly recommended.
“Close to airport bus, free minibar”
The free minibar was great. The airport bus is about two blocks away. The elevators do not require card access. Walking near the hotel area felt safe at night. Grocery store is several blocks away. Nice view of castle and panoramic city view from rooftop pool area.
“Very nice”
The atmophere was lacking, seemed to cater more to business people. The location was questionable, seemed like it was in a seedy area of town. The walk wasn't bad to the beach or the city centre. On the plus side, this hotel was amazing, particularily the decor. It was a great place to be, as you find yourself surrounded by beauty. The staff were as helpful as they could be -- our Spanish wasn't up to par, but they did what they could.
“Wonderful, beautiful place!”
Me & my boyfriend went here for our first holiday together and we agreed it was the best hotel we'd ever stayed in. The room was impeccably styled, with sleek furnishings that were actually like the ones in the guide pictures on the website, and every day it was tidied and cleaned beautifully by the maids. The bed was large and comfortable, we had our own control of the air-con, and the minibar was free - though don't expect an assortment of alcohols; we only got a beer on 3 or 4 of the 7 days, but the soft drinks and water were still welcome! The staff were polite and spoke English quite well, although our only gripe was that a receptionist told us the day before checkout there'd be a place to shower in the daytime after vacating the room (checkout's at noon, our flight wasn't till 9pm) but on the day another receptionist said there actually wasn't anywhere to shower. This receptionist also told us the wrong place for the bus stop back to the airport, meaning we waited for nearly an hour with no bus, and had to spend extra money getting a cab. Overall though, the hotel is fantastic; definitely a business hotel but that in no way stopped us from having a romantic holiday! Oh, 1 more thing - they are very generous with free toiletries: a little toothbrush and paste, a razor and shaving gel etc, and as we discovered, they replace anything each day that is not where they left it - in your suitcase for example! By the end of the holiday I had quite a collection!

Area:
Alicante, Spain: The provincial capital, Alicante is a bustling city with an excellent beach, a new marina, buzzing nightlife, and an atmospheric old quarter. High above the port, the Castillo de Santa Barbara looks down into the Barrio Santa Cruz, a picturesque warren of whitewashed streets, its little houses with window grills and geraniums, reminiscent of Andalusia. This is the heart of the citys nightlife, full of hole-in-the-wall bars and clubs.
