“Good overnight 'no frills' stay”
Could not fault the hotel for an overnight stay. The receptionist was welcoming and very polite - room was adequately sized and very clean. No other facilities. Only letdown was the evening meal in the pub next to the lodge, however the breakfast was OK and the waitress very helpful.
“Comfy stay and exceeded expectations”
We were suprised at how nice and comfortable the room was for a two star hotel. I've stayed in three star hotels that weren't as nice as the Altrincham. It was a great location for getting to Old Trafford - only a couple of tram stops and you're there. Would recommend to anyone who needs a cosy, comfy and clean room.
“Very Good Hotel”
This hotel was lovely, was in walking distance to the shopping complex which meant I had somethin to do when the bf was working. The room was a little hot at nights, but the hotel gave us extra fans which kept us cool. The room was very comfortable.
“All we could need.”
We have stayed in this hotel a number of times and we get great service from the reception and there is everything we would need there. The beds are very comfortable, and they do their best to give us the room we requested.
“Nice weekend in Manchester”
The hotel is not in the city center but it was not a problem for us. It is about 10 min walk from the tram station. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice but I could've eaten more.
“A decent place to stay”
In this area of Manchester, I trust this lodge is a pretty decent place to stay, and the staff was rather hospitable and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Overall I like the place especially as it was a convenience being equipped with 24x7 Wifi facility. I suggest the management could work further on standards and room for improvement. I would recommend this place to anyone who look forward for a pretty calm, quiet and an enjoyable stay.

for the price i paid I can't complain. Rooms clean cofortable with all you need. Nice pub next door
“Fair price”
Was pleased with the room considering the price. Clean bed and bathroom, reasonable size and seems to have been recently redecorated. Was very warm in the room though and there is only 1 small window which cannot be fully opened so couldn't get any fresh air in the room. However, there was a fan in the room which helped.
“Clean and friendly -- mostly for people who drive.”
It's a clean and friendly place, yet it's important to note that it's not so easily accessible by Metro (about 20 min walk from Temperley station).
“clean, comfortable pet-friendly lodge”
good stay overall. Our pet dog Charlie certainly had a good stay. Only thing is they didnt even try to accommodate our request - my cousin booked a few days before we arrived, and did say on her booking if we could be placed close by. Instead they placed her above the reception, and me on the other end of the lodge.
