“Great value”

Great value, polite staff, free coffee and internet in the Foyer, I cannot really fault this hotel. One thing that did initally anger me was the fact that the hotel is actually called 'Eden'. There is no mention of Hampshire on the exterior of the building. We walked around asking for directions for hours. Even tourist information across the road did not know of the Hampshire hotel. There is no mention of 'Eden' on our booking. Armed with this knowledge, you should enjoy the hotel!

“A Great Value”

This place was less expensive than most, away from the action but still in walking distance to it all. I was amazed at the courteous service. If you're an American the breakfast will seem like a waste because it's all sandwiches. Just go to one of the many pancake houses nearby instead. I am from NYC where I live in a very small studio apartment, so the size of the room was not an issue for me. Elderly and disabled people beware: the stairs leading to the entrance are steep. I am young and healthy and found them difficult to climb at the end of the day.

“Great location for museums/Vondelpark”

Good welcome. Could leave our bags there before and after check-in time which was great. Clean, modern, quiet room. Small, but we were expecting that. Would definitely stay there again.

“Staff & hotel were wonderful”

This hotel was in a perfect location to get around. I can't say enough nice things about the hotel staff-I ended up getting sick on my trip to Amsterdam and the hotel staff was wonderful-calling to see how I was feeling, got a doctor for me ASAP, sent up food, they did everything they could to help me get better (and thankfully I was able to enjoy a few days of my trip). It's a perfect spot for transportation by canal or tram and the neighborhood is very nice. I would stay here again with no hesitation.

“Met our requirements”

We were looking for a place to stay near the center of Amsterdam for the one day we laid over after leaving our cruise ship and before returning to the States. This hotel turned out to be just what we needed. They had a place to secure our luggage until we could check into our room. They had clean, basic rooms. The available morning breakfast was extensive and good. The staff was very helpful, even though we did not have a credit card to cover incidentals (my wallet had been stolen in Barcelona). The only challenge was getting our luggage up the staircase leading to the front door of the hotel.

Nice, affordable hotel with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable visit to Amsterdam. Walking distance to the hop on hop off boat, restaurants, cafes and museums.

“Excellent Value”

Clean, well presented and warm... vital to escape the mid winter snow when we visited ! The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, and the rooms, although slightly cramped were clean, and represented excellent value for money. We would definitely use this hotel again.

“Ideal place to stay”

The Tulip is minutes away from the museum quarter but on a lovely quiet street. Where room space is usually at a premium, the hotel has been refurbished and the rooms are well proportioned. Breakfast is not cheap but there are plenty of alternatives locally.
