“Short notice”
Very nice European Hotel - centally located to museums in a very nice neighborhood. Very nice staff. We were delayed in our connection to Detroit and had to find a place to stay on short notice and we were accomodated by the hotel - they were the only place we called because we had stayed there before. Made us feel very confortable.
“Great stay”
Hotel was very clean and comfortable and in a perfect location. The room was cozy but perfect for what I wanted. No coffee in the room was the only thing missing.
“Wonderful hotel in chic area”
Extremely comfortable stay. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. In-hotel restaurant very good. Hotel is in a lovely neighborhood of smart shopping and very close to tram that takes one to the heart of Amsterdam in a matter of minutes. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!

Quiet hotel not far from the Museumsplein. Great for anyone who is coming to the city to explore the museums.
“Comfortable hotel in classy residential area near to the Museum Quarter”
The Memphis Hotel is ideally sited; it's in a lovely residential area with an interesting selection of shops, restaurants and a supermarket within easy walking distance. It's also on a bus and tram route and only a ten minute walk away from the Museum Quarter. The room we were given was rather small and we were disturbed in the night by creaking noises in the wall several times a minute. When I mentioned this at reception in the morning (probably the lift they said) we were immediately offered another room which turned out to be considerably larger. Both rooms were well equipped with tea making facilities and a fridge. The shower produced an endless amount of wonderful hot water with excellent pressure. The hotel staff were most helpful and friendly. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as breakfast wasn't included and the hotel made no attempt to entice us in e.g. no menu displayed, no prices shown. The restaurant seemed closed in the evenings which was no problem with the excellent eateries nearby and in the city centre. The flights were fine. Only problem was that the shuttle bus didn't show up to take us to the airport for our flight home. The hotel had booked this for us the day before but it was clear from what they said that the shuttle bus had let people down before. We had a scramble to get a taxi to the station and train to the airport. Important advice; DO NOT BOOK A SHUTTLE BUS. Trams, buses and trains are much cheaper and very efficient.
“Memphis Hotel top choice for Marathoners”
I stayed at the Memphis Hotel mainly down to its proximity to the start of the Amsterdam Marathon and it was extremely convenient and comfortable. Quite near to the Vondelpark and in a nice quiet part of the City - easy to walk down to the museums. The room was comfy and the breakfast also had everything you could want. Would recommend to anyone doing the Marathon events.. not too expensive either.

It you are traveling to Amsterdam, run, don't walk to the beautiful Memphis Hotel in the museum district.

The Hotel Memphis is very nice. The location is great and the hotel itself is clean and very pleasnat in every way. I would be quite happy to stay there again.
“Cute small, not far from the action”
This hotel was very cute and clean. Service was amazing and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Not far from one of the smaller city centres. Tram and bus lines easily accessible.
“Excellent hotel in an great location”
I used the Memphis hotel as our base when running the Amsterdam marathon, for which it was excellent. The rooms were clean and large with very comfortable beds. Everyone in reception was very helpful, especially when we were asking lots of questions as to where to go and eat. Not easy when there was a big group of us and they gladly phoned several restaurants. The hotel is located in a nice area, with plenty of good restaurants around the corner. The number 16 tram stops a minute walk away for very easy access to the city centre. In regards as a base for the marathon, it was an easy 20 minute walk to the start\finish and perfectly located for me and friends.
