“one of our favorite places”
Hotel Panorama in Tolo was one of our absolute favorite places in 2 weeks in Greece. We spent 3 nights and would love to go back. The hotel is perched spectacularly above the bay and the little town, with a really nice pool as shown on the website. The people though are what really set the place apart-- Christos and his uncle and everyone else were particularly warm and gracious hosts. The place is close to major ancient sites, Mycenae (40 min. away) and Epidavros (30 min.) among others-- a good base. Rooms all have balconies with that great view, and also at least some of them have little kitchenettes with basic supplies-- and very reasonable rates. Clean and comfortable. They have family suite sort of rooms too, to sleep four. A little bar / taverna at the pool too. Town of Tolo is really just a street along the beach with tavernas, restaurants, gelato, postcard etc. shops, very pleasant place to stroll.
“View to die for”
Absolutely beautiful view from this family run hotel. Tolo not well serviced by sat nav systems but you can not miss the hotel with its imposing views. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were large, but need a car to get into town as it would be a hard walk.
“Panorama Visit”
Excellent views, great service, fantastic views from room.
“Stunning views”
We spent 5 nights at the Panorama hotel. We enjoyed every moment. We had a room on the second floor with views over Tolo, the harbour and sea. The hotel is set on the hillside just above the town, this has both benefits and drawbacks. The drawback is that the road up to the hotel is quite steep and pushing a buggy (as we were) was quite a task. The plus side is that the location was quiet and the view from the balcony was stunning this alone definitely made up for the walk. We also didn't feel so guilty about eating icecream and pastries. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, a cooker, crockery, utensils. The buffet breakfast was very satisfying with a choice of fruit and yoghurt, fresh bread, eggs, ham, cheese, pastries. We enjoyed a mixture of weather sun for a couple of days, cloud and storms. The pool is lovely but we didn't quite fancy braving the cold. We spent 2 days relaxing on the sandy beach in Tolo, the sea at this time of year is still warm our 3 year old loved every moment of splashing amongst the waves. The bus (coach) to Napflio runs every hour at a cost of 1 euro 40. The bus stop is just at the bottom of the incline to the hotel and the journey takes 10 mins. The Panorama is a family run hotel, and what a lovely family they are too, nothing is ever too much trouble. We mentioned one morning we didn't have hot water this was resoved immediately. Our departure time meant we would have missed breakfast, however breakfast was put on early to accommodate.
“Fantastic View!”
We stayed at the Panorama in Tolo for five nights and it was wonderful. It's half way up a hill so the views out over the bay and the islands is spectacular (all the rooms have sea views). It's a 5 minute walk into Tolo which has some nice restaurants right on the beach. The hotel owner was extremely friendly and the pool etc. was lovely. I highly recommend it.
“Great hotel at a good price”
This hotel is located on top of a hill overlooking the town of Tolo and the beach and sea. The landscaping of this hotel is beautiful, and there is a lovely swimming pool. The rooms, while somewhat basic, are comfortable and very clean, and all rooms have a nice balcony overlooking the sea. The people are very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The town is very touristy, but the advantage of this is that there are loads of restaurants, including many on the beach. It's only a 15-minute drive from Nafplion, there are plenty of sites to visit.
“Our best hotel room view ever”
Other reviewers say there is a steep climb up from the beach. Well we're both over 60 and it took us only 5 minutes, the 59 steps into the hotel being the main element. But for that you are rewarded with a fantastic view from the hotel, the room , the pool and the very well maintained garden, and some peace and quiet off the main street. Tolo was great out of season. If we go back to tour the Peloponnese again one day , Tolo and this hotel will be the first one we'll book..We'd be very picky, if we tried to find any faults with this hotel. And to repeat ourselves, is there a better view in the whole of Greece?
“Lovely Hotel - Gorgeous view”
My daughter and I stayed at the Panorama Hotel in October. The weather was perfect. Our room was large with a balcony that truly does give you a panoramic view. Although the furnishings were utilitarian the room was very clean and well cared for. The hotel had parking, a lovely pool, and gave us access to the internet. Breakfast was rather meager but the Greek yogurt was good. At this time of year the town was layed back and the beach in Tolo is beautiful. Tolo was only a short drive away from beautiful Nafplio where the hotels are much more expensive. I would love to come back to the Panorama Hotel!
“Excellent value for money - great views!”
We stayed in one of the 1 bedroom apartments. Great place to stay in regards to Tolo. Very relaxing. The staff were friendly and great for families. The hotel is more 3 star than expected, but the view and convenience of location makes up for it. Breakfast was good, however after days the menu became predictable and boring. We loved the fact that we could prepare meals in the apartment - made life easier from a family perspective. We would certainly return!
“Good hotel great views”
This is a good hotel overlooking the bay of Tolo, the view from the rooms is absolutely astonishing! Stuff is great and very helpful. Although rooms are very big the only minus about the hotel is the extremely small bathroom (especially the shower cabin). Great pool and the children playground is very convenient.
