"My 4 children and I stayed for 2 nights to explore DC. Check in was fast and parking was tight but doable. The breakfast was ok and had options.
My son woke up with the stomach flu and unfortunately did not make it to the bathroom and puked all over the floor. I called down to get cleaning supplies and was told they would move our rooms at a cost OR charge me a cleaning fee after we check out. I wasn’t asking them to clean it, I was trying to get supplies to clean it. I received a piece of scrap fabric and no cleaner. I cleaned it up. I found cleaning supplies in my car to help with the smell. This I know isn’t a hotel problem, my kid puked. Why I refuse to give a higher rating is the lack of respect and decency. My child got sick and I was trying with the tools I had to make a hard situation tolerable. Another thing, I purposely booked a room with a pullout sofa. When asked for bedding I was told it’s broke “deal with it”. So we used our car blankets and a packing cube as a pillow because we were unable to get extra bedding. My child was also too tall to sleep comfortably on the sofa so he slept on the floor. Extremely disappointed."
