“Honeymooners”
We were pleasantly surprised how clean the hotel was kept. The food was good, the drinks were even better. Thought the entire staff was helpful and very pleasant. Getting a chair by the pool was a bit inconvenient, but manageable.
“if you're going all inclusive, this is your hotel!”
I will never stay anywhere else, when I return to aruba and I sincerely have no interest in returning to any other island. The staff was some of the most incredible I've ever encountered, helpful, friendly and remembered our names, drinks, how we like our coffee, you name it! By our second day here the staff recognized us and said good morning. You hardly walk by anyone working there who doesn't make eye contact with you and greet you. The bartenders were my favorite. They made me laugh, and i spent most of my time by the pool speaking to them. AMAZING place. truly and I cannot wait to return! The only complaint that I have was the elevators were somewhat slow, but I have zero issues with the stairs. (and was on the tenth floor) and the reservations for resturants had to be made the day of, between 9am and noon. All of the resturants are good, my personal favorite was the Steakhouse, and least was the 'Krystal' resturant.
“Great Vacation!”
This was our time staying at this Riu and we are looking forward to returning again! Our room was great, housekeeping was phenominal. All of the wait staff was always friendly. Any time we requested anything we got immediate service, both in and out of the room. The buffet has something for everybody and the food is very good for an all inclusive hotel. There were surprisingly more kids/babies there this year than usual, that was not appealing. I do not think this hotel is fitting for very young children. Overall great vacation!
“Best hotel in Aruba”
Very clean gorgeous rooms facing the pool and the beach. Food is excellent and location is very convenient. Staff is very friendly. Suitable for couples as well as families.
“Riu Palace Aruba - phenomenal.”
Beautiful hotel. Phenomenal staff. Great location.
“Couple negative things! But awesome anyways!!!”
The only thing negative about this hotel is that the floors are very very slippery!! And it was very hard to get an umbrella on the beach, they need to come up with a fair way to give those out!! People were reserving them the night before and the security guard was telling them to do it!!!
“Riu Retreat”
We enjoyed this hotel completely. The service, food, entertainment, drinks, everything was great. We asked to be upgraded to another room when we first arrived with a view of the ocean and they were happy to accommodate. We couldn't have asked for a better place to vacation. We had trouble with the safe in our room and the hotel sent maintenance to fix within 15 minutes of our call.
“Very happy with hotel”
I can't say enough about this hotel. The staff was great. The rooms were very clean. The food was fabulous. I am only sorry we couldn't stay longer.
“Highly recommend!”
I have stayed at 2 RIU palace properties now, and each experience was great. The food is good (not excellent but lower you standards a bit...its all-inclusive). The only minor gripe is that our "king" bed was two smaller beds pushed together. The staff was very friendly, and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The beaches in Aruba are second to none...you can walk literally for miles if you so choose, and the island is safe. It is a bit windy, but it keeps you cool from the hot sun.
“Great stay, would return!!”
My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in late April to early May. We had a fantastic time. The hotel is located on a very nice beach and is a short taxi ride from the airport. The staff was helpful and easy going, check in was very easy and quick, and bar and wait staff were great. We stayed in the "B" Building, which I believe is newer, but I am not positive. The room was nice, a bit worn in places but still very nice and we had a great view of the beach and ocean. The AC worked extremely well. Our only real complaint was that a "king bed" was two twins/doubles pushed together and would slide apart in the middle of the night. The mini bars were refilled daily. If you want, there is free WiFi in the lobby. Food was quite good, the breakfast and dinner buffets in particular. Lunches were a bit of a let down at the two buffets. Bartenders were always willing to make special drinks. You have to make reservations the day of for dinner, from 9am - 12pm for the four sit downs restaurants. It is worth getting up a bit early, 8:30am or so, to get in line just to be sure. We tried 3 of the 4 and really liked them, Italian was the best. A downside to the reservations is that there are only two seatings, 6:30pm or 9pm. Room service was good, but it's a limited menu. The chairs at the beach and pool go quickly in the morning, so grab towels and stake your claim early. Should you want to venture downtown, the bus is a two minute walk from the hotel, just past the Westin.

Area:
Palm Beach, Aruba: The question on Palm Beach is this: lounge or live large? Theres a reason the major resorts and clubs are located near these calm waters. The beach is an ideal place to do absolutely nothing, with a cold drink in hand. Theres also swimming, golf, horseback riding, ATV rentals, and plenty of water sports.
