“Excellent accomodations. Very happy with this Hotel.”
We were very satisfied with the Hotel Alexandros. The front desk people, especially Yiannis, Piros and Chris were very helpful and polite. The metro is about an 8 minute walk and takes you anywhere you need to go for an enjoyable trip.
“Very charming and cozy hotel”
This hotel has a very comfortable atmosphere, and is very clean and well-maintained. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Free wireless and breakfast were a big plus. I was given a larger room than I had booked, and it was clean and nicely decorated in simple decor. The only drawbacks I noted were the lack of clock/alarm in the room and awkward positioning of the showerhead in the bath.
“excellent value”
excellent service - nice restaurant
“Very nice hotel!”
We enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfortable enough, the room was pretty good size, and the location was nice (only about 1/4 mile from the subway station). I thought it was unique that the shower nozzle was in the middle of the tub (instead of one end). Bathrooms were nice, clean, and decent sized. It was hot while we were there, so we really appreciated the airconditioner. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Our taxi to the airport arrived on time at 4:30 AM, so that was perfect!
“Delightful surprise.”
I lived in Athens for years, but had not stayed at Hotel Alexandros until this summer. I'll go back. Located near the American Embassy, the hotel is not crowded with bus loads of tour groups, but hosts an interesting clientele of international professionals and visitors. Great service. Close to subway.
“Great hotel Great location!”
We stayed at The Hotel Alexandros for 6 nights and there wasnt a single thing to complain about. The staff were very friendly, english speaking and very informative. The hotel is less than 5mins from metro which goes directly to and from airport. (costs very little) Get off at magaro station, come out onto vas sofias... and go left.
“I would definitely return to this hotel without any hesitation”
This was my first visit to Athens. As a solo traveller, I was wanting to stay somewhere fairly central but affordable and somewhere close to the metro. With no knowledge of the city, I chose this Hotel. When I arrived at my room, I could not believe the quality and cleanliness. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the Megaro Moussikis metro station. The staff were excellent. They were very accommodating and assisted me as to how to best get to particular tourist sites. The restaurant meals were of a very high quaility, but very affordable. I do intend to return to Athens and I will be staying at this Hotel again. I will be recommending this hotel to my friends and family also should they decide to visit Athens.
“Great little hotel in central Athens”
We stayed for 4 nights in May. It's a lovely hotel - attractive decor and the staff can't do enough for you. The breakfasts are superb, with lots of fresh fruit and cereals as well as eggs, mushrooms and a selection of pastries, toast, bread and preserves. The hotel is situated off the main road so is quiet. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but explored the Plaka area and found a great little taverna in a nearby suberb (Ano Ilissia). Don't bother with the TGIs and Pizza places - Greek food is 10 times better. Try a Greek salad, grilled chicken, Tzaziki and spinach pie - delicious! The only slight critisism is that they charged 3 euro to have one crease ironed out of my T shirt! They don't have an iron you can borrow so I'd recommend taking a travel iron.
“would love to return”
hotel was comfortable, clean and the staff were always helpful. well situated a short walk to nearest metro station, which we were very impressed with clean, cheap you could go anywhere in Athens for less than a pound. we would really recomend Athens for a holiday and that you stayed in this hotel.
“Clean and friendly”
The full breakfast was excellent. The hotel and rooms were well decorated and the staff was helpful. The location was great to catch the subway.
