“A pleasant surprise.”

We didn't expect much from this hotel, as we were just looking for a place to stay overnight before leaving Greece. The Staff was extremely helpful and the room itself was exceptional. The decor was a bit dated and added to the its charm. The location is great and close to the many sites in Athens.

“The Hotel Delice: a true hidden gem”

The Hotel Delice is an older hotel with spacious apartment style rooms. It is within walking distance of the Metro (Evangelismos Station.) We took the Metro from the airport to Evangelismos and walked to the hotel from there. The staff is superbly helpful, and the breakfasts with fresh squeezed orange juice are the best I've ever had at a hotel anywhere. The neighborhood is upscale, as evidence by the fact that two of Athens five star hotels are within two blocks. There are bars and restaurants within one block. My wife and I would go back tomorrow.

“Good Hotel- Great Bargain”

Delice Hotel Apts is located behind the Hilton and close to Diwani Caravel- two of the best Hotels in Athens. It is very close to the Metro-Evangilimos exit so very convenient to travel all over the city- 5 min. walk and 5-10 min on the Metro to go to all the sights- Acropolis, the museums, Plaka etc. It is about 20 min from Piraeus Port on the Metro- The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful especially Kostos. The fresh squeezed orange juice was great. The apt we had was spacious - 3 large rooms, a kitchen, dining etc - very neat & clean-a great bargain!!!

“Great Hotel and VERY Safe Location.”

We had a GREAT time at the Hotel Delice! The location was great and was in a very safe area. We were only about a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro, but, we did most of Athens on foot. The breakfast in the hotel was OK. Not much of a variety. Cheese, ham, boiled (unpeeled) eggs, different types of toast and rolls, Jams and spreads, fresh juice, coffee and tea. No changes, same thing every day. The hotel room was nice and clean and the staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

“Great location - near the sights”

Was rated 4* by Expedia but definitely wasn't. But I loved it & would return. Easy to reach from the airport - get the X95 bus to the Hilton stop (5 euros) & a short walk. I knew immediately that the area was good. We were next to the Hilton & near lots of embassies. The hotel has seen better days & was probably one of the best in the 70s, but it needs updating. Our room was a 2 bedroomed apartment with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room & dining area. Loads of room. All very clean & comfortable. Our room had a balcony & overlooked a small park with a row of orange trees below. Very pretty & quiet. Staff were friendly & helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The only downside was the hotel did not have a bar, but there were several nearby. Breakfast was excellent - lovely greek yogurt with granola & honey plus the usual continental fare. There was also a juicer for making freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotel was very quiet (as was Athens) or breakfast could have been chaos due to the tiny dining room. The best thing is the location. During our 4 night stay, other than trips to & from the airport, we did not use any public transport - all the sights were easily walkable & we felt safe at all times. You will see riot police on street corners but they had nothing to do as everything was quiet & peaceful. Although the hotel was not 4*, the location made up for the lack of facilities & the dated feel seemed to add to it's charm. Very good value but not luxury. I'd return.

“Get what you pay for .”

This hotel i what you pay for. Cheap and accommodation just outside city centre fr people that need a room to sleep only . You can walk to everything which is great , bout 10 -15 brisk walk to centre . On 1st look neighborhood looks bad but i pays off to explore . Service is nothing special but hey , I was there to explore and thus hotel is what I wanted . Cheàp , convenient and a place to sleep and pack my stuff . I'd go back !

“Good for staying one night”

This hotel is a good place if you need to stay a night or two in Athens somewhere close to the blue metro line. The beds were comfortable and clean, but the bathroom was on the smaller side. The free internet station was useful to check emails. The buffet breakfast included with the room was very basic. Overall I felt this hotel was good value for money.
