“THE hotel in Athens”
We had a great trip but our arrival in Athens was somewhat thrown by yet another unofficial train strike so getting to the hotel became a real challenge. Our journey probably didn't show the city at its best but the predominant image is of grafitti everywhere. After that trek arriving in the O&B was a really wonderful surprise. Clean, comfortable and very stylish. Reception was very friendly and the welcome drink/snack was a lovely touch. The hotel is perfectly situated to walk to all the main attractions (don't miss the Acropolis Museum - worth a visit before seeing the sites) and to get around town easily. After a little investigation Athens although scruffy turned out to be a fantastic city, full of good food, interesting venues. great nightlife and friendly people. Without doubt having such a good hotel as our "refuge" helped make the rest of the trip so enjoyable. History, Culture, Nightlife, Shopping & Good Food - well recommended
“Outstanding!!”
Tucked away on a side street in Athens, but near to the main sights and lively bars/restaurants, this boutique hotel is simply outstanding. Be prepared for a small but well equipped room. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were quiet when we were there, but provided a great place to start the evening. The food was very good, decor is modern and well done. The main thing that struck us was the excellent service. From the moment we walked in nothing was too much trouble - really exceptional. We would not hesitate to go back.
“athens hotel”
excellent friendly
“Great Small Hotel”
Beautifully decorated and serviced small hotel near all the sights in Athens. We really enjoyed the personable staff and the rooms were spacious and very thoughtfully decorated. One of the nicest bathrooms I've ever seen. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in Athens. The street that the hotel is located on is shabby looking but the hotel is a stone's throw from the major sights and near two transportation links so I would definitely stay there again.
“Charming Hotel With a GREAT Location”
O&B Athens Boutique Hotel was a charming hotel that exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to shopping, restaurants, the Acropolis, and the Plaka shopping district. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They gave detailed directions on how to get places, and also made arrangements for taxis. The room was nicely decorated and very spacious unlike other hotels I have stayed at in European countries. The shower was wonderful and had great water pressure - something I tend not to find in hotels! The little extras like bathrobes and turn down service made this experience even better. I would definitely stay at O&B again and would reccommend it to anyone visiting Athens!
“Could Not Have Asked For More...”
The staff took care of everything we needed. They called taxis whenever we needed one, their suggestions of restaurants were always outstanding. They provided us with maps and took the time to mark out the routes and explain them to us. They arranged any tour or activity that we wanted to participate in. They could not have been more helpful and polite. They would not even let us iron our clothes. They sent the maid to our room to pick up our clothes and return them to our room. When we were out, we would come back to find our newly pressed clothes hanging in the closet. Breakfast was delicious and if you wanted something that was not already prepared (I cannot imagine what that would have been) they would happily make it for you. The hotel was located within walking distance of everything from shopping to dining to tourist attractions. This was my first incounter with a "Boutique" hotel and it was an great experience. I would definately stay at the O&B Athens Boutique Hotel again and would recommend it to everyone.
“we will surely come back! loved every moment!”
Everything was just fantastic - great staff, great hotel, and the best location! Although the room was quite small, it was well lit, and had a nice view of the neighbourhood. The hotel staff was so friendly, just eager to help and to satisfy us, and really made us feel at home. We stayed there for 5 nights, and enjoyed every minute. It has a nice caffe/bar, where we ate tasteful Greek breakfasts, and where one could have a cup or coffee, even late at night. And the location? WOW! The hotel is located in the Psyrri quarter, a quite busy and not-so-clean place at daytime (but very much authentic Greek!), but at night it becomes totally different: a center of nightlife, the best restaurants, bars, Greek music clubs and so on. And also very close to all other Athenian highlights, such as the market, the Agora, Monastiraki area, Plaka, and Keramikos, all within walking distance. It is also very close to the Metro station. And of course - The magnificent Acropolis is well seen from every corner ..... If you are looking for a really authentic Greek experience - that's the place to be!
“O&B Athens”
We only stayed one night but I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent for visiting the Acropolis (a short walk away) and there are plenty or restaurants and bars nearby. The room was clean and well decorated, the shower was powerful, breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The only downside is that it is a small hotel and so the rooms are also small (but adequate). We had a room with a small balcony but the balcony doesn't really add much and the alternative option of a slightly bigger room would probably have been a better choice. The hotel is on a small and not well known street so don't expect the taxi drivers to have heard of it. Our taxi driver had no idea where it was and had to call the hotel for directions. All in all a great place to stay for a short stop in Athens.
“Fabulous”
We stayed at this hotel as a treat on our last night in Athens after 10 days Island hopping. They let us check in early (7.45am!) and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was stunning and nothing was too much trouble. I was perfectly located for all the main sights, bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.
“Best Boutique hotel in Athens!”
I am a huge hotel snob and honestly the O & B Hotel and the hotel staff is amazing...It's like they are welcoming family into their home. The knowledge and help was over the top. The director actually drove us to the post office to ship a box home since we can't speak greek, honestly above and beyond what we expected! They recommended where to go, eat, drink, all perfect. The rooms very modern and exceptionally clean.
