We were using this hotel on the strenght of previous reviews. The rooms were a good size and location just off the I-75. No problems

“going back this weekend”

Staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean and neat, smelt very nice. Booked another stay right there in the hotel room.

A nice and reasonable cheap hotel, close, but not to close, to the freeway and to Marietta square area - A car is a MUST!

“SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT”

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. There was a washer and dryer to use (at a cost) but it did keep me from finding a laundromat. Now the rooms smelled awful. I looked at 3 before I just finally chose one. They all smelled alike, musty and smoked in. Be sure you take air freshner to spray. The non smoking even smelled smoked in. The rooms are small (double queen). We had 2 adults and 3 kids and we were on top of each other. The refrig. and microwave are small but served the purpose. The rooms definitely need updating, but seemed cleaned. The pool is small but ok. This motel will do for a night or two but not over that. It was easily located. The BEST thing about Marietta is Marietta's Diner. The 1st night was wasted because we went to that bar-b-que place which I wasn't impressed with, but after finding the Diner, Oh My Gosh! To Die For! The food is wonderful and the desserts are "Out of This World! You have never seen cakes like this. Be sure and visit it. Also, plan to see Stone Mountain. Great entertainment. The laser show is spectacular!!! The Six Flags Water Park is very close, but we didn't visit it this trip. Checkers had good burgers and fries for a snack.

“great hotel if going to white water”

The hotel was nicer than I thought it would be. There were a couple of things broke, like the lever that turns the bathtub on and off, but it was easy to put back on. The breakfast was kind of skimpy, but better than having to provide your own. It is less than a mile away from six flags white water. It was a good hotel, price wise, location, and comfort, and we will probably stay there again when we go back to white water.

“It was ok once you get passed the smell of incense burning in the lobby.”

It was fine, had trouble getting into room because of "problem's with expedia's payment to the hotel" I would not want to stay more than one night. Breakfast was not at all impressive. Lobby smelled horrible.

“It works”

Convenient location for NW outerbelt of Atlanta for the price. Not much in the way of restaurants, stores, etc. very close. Room cleanliness could have used another 10 minutes.

“Days Inn Marietta April 2012”

Well, everything was fine. Except, they did not have toothpaste. Also, there was an incident in where a guest got a hold of Housekeeping's cart and was knocking on doors pretending to be housekeeping in order to try to steal from the rooms. The police was contacted. It had no bearing on the hotel staff (who was very polite and accomodating) but these things happen. Its a small hotel and security is not up to par as most of the bigger chains. Just something to be aware of but as far as cleanliness etc, the hotel was fine for its price range.

“mislead”

The carpets were dirty, shower had broken trim and screen had mold spots. We got there late, and people were wandering around in the back, and shouting from the third floor. My family felt unsafe. Do not trust the prior reviews the brought us here.

“Iffy”

This place is OK for what I needed which was a place to sleep on the drive back from Florida. Mirror on the closet was cracked, sink drain was damaged, tub floor was damaged, wallpaper was peeling with mold growing underneath. All suprising since it looked like general condition of the wallpaper, carpets, curtains, and bedding appeared new. Not sure if they went cheap on the wallpaper and were oblivious the the rest or what. Also, it was a bit offputting that the receptionist worked behind bulletproof glass...
