“Location”
This hotel is about a ten minute walk to the harbour and approx 5 minutes to the shops so is very convenient.
“Recommended Hotel in Auckland”
The Copthorne on Anzac Avenue is clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. There is car parking, and it's easy to get onto SH 1 if you're travelling south. If you don't mind a walk, it takes about ten minutes to get to Queen Street. Breakfast in the hotel is well worth a try.

“Amazing staff and supreme customer service”
What amazing staff at front of counter. Very helpful friendly and efficient at initial checkin, excellent service when coming back later in the day. Very efficient, helpful and friendly at checkout.
“Reasonably priced, comfortable accommodation”
When we first arrived I was not happy with the situation of the hotel but found that it was convenient as it was close to the Link bus stop (just along the street and down the steps to the next street) so easy to get around. Our room had two double beds but there was only one chair. Room needed to be refurbished. TV very old and disappointed with the channels provided. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful.
“Helpful staff - comfortable rooms”
We returned after travelling around New Zealand in a Motorhome for 2 months and the staff were friendly and most helpful in retrieving our Expedia booking even though we hadn't got a print out. We were only staying one night and our flight wasn't until 1.10am the following morning but the staff stored our luggage at no cost for the day; told us about and arranged a shuttle bus to the airport at half the cost of a taxi; and gave us a discount voucher for breakfast. There is a facility to use the Internet and so we were able to book in online and print out our Boarding Passes.

Our hotel experiance was very good, very pleased with everything. There could have been more channels on the TV to choose from.
“Dated hotel but clean, had friendly staff”
This was a standard hotel but it was clean, the staff were nice, and the breakfast was good.
“Standard fare but good service”
Dated hotel needing a bit of a revamp from its 80's decor and fittings, saying that it is clean and comfortable.Service from the staff was good although the food from the menu and breakfast bar was a little disappointing,nevertheless good value for the money.
“Comfortable - but”
I felt the room was tired and needed a facelift. The carpet (grubby looking) - the furniture (dented and scratched) - the bathroom layout (hate a shower over the bath) - the TV (amazing how we have got used to flat screens so quickly) etc The bed was comfortable, the lighting was adequate - fine when I did not spend much time there. If I was wanting to be there for several days I may have felt differently. Would have liked a clock-radio in the room. Friendly approachable staff on the front desk.
