“A little more than we expected -- that has to be good.”
Good inner Auckland hotel. The staff looked after us well. The breakfast wasn't inner city standard. We'd paid less for a better meal nearby. Nice location for some amazing restaurants on the water, and Sky Tower a block away.
“Great for short or long stay”
Able to walk to Harbor and Sky Tower.
“Will defintely stay here when I return to Auckland every time.”
From our arrival to our departure, we had a perfect time. All services worked perfectly, staff were excellent, The location is excellent for a visitor to Auckland, close to all sights, waterfront and other entertainment and transport services. This was our first trip to Auckland and I would suggest this hotel to anyone and I will defintiely go back there when I go back to Auckland, hopefully soon.
“Will definetely return to this hotel”
A great location to stay in Auckland close to the Harbor, good dining, and shopping
“Fantastic location”
Recently had a long weekend in AKL and booked this Hotel. Stayed 4 years ago and was not that impressses because i had studio on the lower floors which was too noisy and the staff were not that great (very surly). This time I booked a Suite with harbour views. Loved the views! Fantastic! Comfy bedroom and great kitchens. Very central location. Only minus was a thought $20 for a Continental Breakfast was rather $$$$. Staff great improved. I would most certainly stay there again.
“Good value and clean”
good
“Enjoyable, but not perfect.”
Generally clean and well kept hotel. was dissapointed with several loose fixtures in the bathroom, otherwise the room was clean and relatively new and the staff were quite friendly and clear.
“A lovely meal”
We could not find anything particular on the menu that was to our liking (battered fish, chips etc). The staff cooked to our wishes, grilled snapper and mashed potatoes; fantastic guys!!!
“Good value and location”
Generally satisfied and excellent value for the price. Room had all the features I expected but the size was a little small and the layout was a little quirky. The main improvement needed is in the standard of cleaning of the room and of the hotel in general (based on my observations coming through reception and then going to my room via the lift and corridors). Service was quick and friendly.
“Handy location”
Once I finally found the hotel, as it is hard to identify in the dark I was treated to some really off hand reception staff. No information regarding parking was offered. Sfter holding up other parkers someone with a swipe card got me out of the way into the parking area. From then on it was fine although the cooked breakfast was pretty miserable. Nothing like the breakfast at theGrand Chancellor Auckland Airport. Overall ok Hotel for the price.
