“Better than budget quality.”
As you would expect, possibly better considering the price. Soft comfy beds, lots of storage space, free wifi and a bath. What more do you want! Breakfast is very good, ski shuttles stop right outside the hotel and only a 2 minute walk to town. Can use the pool and gym facilities in the adjoining hotels as well. You get the odd noisy hotel guest that you can hear all over the hotel, but where doesn't. If on a budget, I would stay again.
“Really nice we will stay there again”
We where satisfied with this hotel & recommend it to anyone else
“It's where we stay twice a year and always are comfortable”
We go to Banff twice a year for a get-away weekend and each time the staff are warm and welcoming and always accomodating. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are comfortable. I'm sure there are 'nicer' hotels in Banff but the Red Carpet provides us with everything we need. Can't wait to go back in June.
“Excellent Price for a nice hotel in a nice town”
An excellent value hotel in such a nice town. It’s on the main route through town, with a nice walk through the shopping area to the river, with excellent views of the mountains. The room was large, with coffee making facilities and a range of furniture. The lighting in the room wasn’t brilliant, although once you’d worked on which switch operated which light it wasn’t too bad. The in-room wi-fi worked well, and the complimentary breakfast was fine. My room faced the road, which wasn’t an issue with traffic noise, more with late night revellers returning to their various hotels throughout the night (as late as 3am). The only other niggle was that the in-room radio-alarm clock seemed to have defaulted to midnight (or perhaps someone had set the clock 12 hours out), so it was a surprise to be woken at that hour.
“Nice place to stay”
Everything was just fine
“Good hotel to stay for the price.”
Hotel staff very pleasant and aim to please.
“A good place to sleep.”
Overall a good trip skiing was awesome and the hotel was a good place to sleep. Having no bar and a limited continental breakfast area one did not meet fellow guests unless they happened to be in the hottub area after skiing. The hotel could do with a re-decoration and the addition of at least a bar of its own.
“Nice little hotel but slightly dated.”
Hotel is slightly dated but more than adequate for travellers. Its by no means a five star hotel but cozy nonethelessS. Located about a gentle 10 minute walk from downtown Banff, the weird thing about this hotel, at least for me, was the sink being in the bedroom as opposed to the bathroom! The free parking seemed limited but once parked, you can leave the car there whilst you explore Banff. A free continental breakfast is limited, but very much appreciated in readiness for your big day ahead!
“Red Carpet Inn”
The Red Carpet Inn was very good value for money, and close to Banff centre.
“Good Value”
The motel shows its age, but it is good enough. Everything is clean, the hallways and rooms smelled fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a god size refrigerator and microwave oven. Free WiFi worked well in our room. Our room was facing the back parking lot, so it was fairly quiet. We even had a little balcony that had a nice view of the mountains. Breakfast was OK, better than many other places I stayed at. The free parking lot fills up around dinner time, so you may have to park on the street on some nights. There is a jacuzzi in the second floor and a swimming pool we were told we could use at the adjacent motel, but we never got a chance to use either one. Location is nice. It is only a 5 minute walk to the shopping and dining area.
