“Heaven on Earth!”
The Tamarind Cove Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The watersports facilities on the beach were excellent and run by friendly, helpful staff. Swimming with the turtles can be done easily from the beach - you don't have to go on an organised trip to see them if you don't want to. The food was something else (in a good way that is) with something for everyone. Oh yes and the cocktails were pretty good too (especially the coconut punch!) I can't wait to return!
“Our Third Visit in Three Years”
We've had a great vacation for the past three January visits. Always stayed in the Ocean View Jr Suites, which we highly recommend. Tamarind has a long lovely beach with lots of shade. No problem getting lounges. The rooms are spread out over a wide area, most with ocean views, so it never seems crowded. Food is very good for being included in price. Great place for older couples. If you're looking for a lot of activites or a singles scene at the resort, this isn't the place. If you want a relaxing vacation, with interesting people (mainly British) this is a great spot.
“Can't wait to go back”
Our first visit to the island and after reading many reviews we picked Tamarind cove. This was one of my best hotel choices in many years, the hotel was peaceful, relaxing and a great place to unwind. The staff were fantastic and went out of there way to help you have a truly great holiday, all the meals were excellent and dinner in sasso restaurant must not be missed. The gym is a liitle small but air-conditioned, new equipment and hardly ever used so it's ideal. Can't wait to go back already planning our next trip!
“Fantastic”
Fabulous hotel which we hardly left all week. Staff, especially on the water sports were excellent. My teenage daughter had such a fantastic time. We will go back!
“unbelievable”
My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience at/with this hotel.
“A great improvement”
We had been to this hotel for several years before the recent refurbishment and after a break of a couple of years decided to return to see the changes. We were very pleasantly surprised and found the hotel atmosphere totally changed and more professionally run. The bar area and decking has transformed the whole dining experience and the food and service has improved beyond recognition. Our room was excellent with more storage space than we have experienced in other hotels. The bathroom, although spacious, is a little outdated but perfectly functional and there were plenty of clean towels. A great deal of thought has gone into the refurbishment of this hotel and the previous bad points have been tackled with great effect. We will definitely return.
“October 2011 stay”
We just got back from a 7 night stay at Tamarind. The people are great and were always available for anything that we might need. Andy (hotel manager) is always walking around and interacting with guests. Everyone we interacted with were very friendly and open. By end of stay we felt more like a guest of someone's home rather than staying at a hotel. If looking for a place to stay on the island, I would highly recommend staying here.
“Lovely Hotel”
This was our first time in Barbados and we loved it. The hotel was great and we would definitely go back there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we often enjoyed a laugh and joke with them. The only downside was the evening entertainment in the hotel, some evenings there wasn't any and it was a bit quiet. We definitely felt we picked the best hotel at the best location.
“Loved our stay here!”
Tamarind Cove was everything we thought it would be and more. It definitely did not disappoint. The hotel decor is very suited to the islands, very classy in an understated way. What we really loved was that it's a nice smaller resort, not one of those massive 'super resorts' where you get lost just walking around. Tamarind Cove is literally right on the beach, from any room you are mere minutes from the glorious Caribbean sea. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated and we found them very roomy. We were on the ground level, ocean front, with our own private patio and we could literally just walk 2 seconds and we were on the beach. Amazing. The staff is super friendly and we made friends with many of them. One of them even left us a gift on our pillow on our last day! Unheard of anywhere else I have travelled. There are tons of restaurants around but be sure to walk the beach and head over to Daphnes. It's a little pricey but great food, and its owned by the hotel. A good idea is to go across the street to the Esso convenience store to buy drinks or snacks a lot cheaper and put them in your fridge. One nice touch is that the hotel staff walks around during the day and brings you a cooling eucalyptus soaked towel, then later on a piece of fresh pineapple, then around 4:00 a frozen treat! Makes you feel quite special during your stay. The best part of our stay there was definitely the people, the friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel. Great hotel!
“Beautiful hotel, nice views, relaxing place”
We had a great time at the Tamarind Cove. The hotel is very well maintained, the grounds and pools are beautiful. The food was good and presented very nicely. We like good food and we were not dissapointed. The bar was reasonably priced. The beach right in front of the hotel had good snorkeling, and you could see turtles nearby. I recommend getting a room with a view. It's definitely worth it. We recommend the all inclusive plan. Try at least one local restaurant if you can too. The hotel staff were nice. The beach is public, so you'll see some local vendors, but they are polite. The beach was not crowded. The hotel kept it clean. Enjoy your vacation.
