“Amazing Experience”
This hotel was beyond my wildest dreams. The manager and staff made you feel more like family than a guest. The hotel itself, the layout, is amazingly beautiful. The room we had originally had a small leak in the ceiling and they immediately upgraded us to a bi-level suite. The staff was very knowledgeable about activities and going-ons in the area. The only drawback would be the breakfast selection which could be greatly improved upon. The lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. Plus, there are a few great restaurants within walking distance.
“Cool looking hotel that used to be a plantation estate.”
We stayed for 2 nights. The staff was professional and courteous and we were upgraded to a king-bed. Our room had a nice lounge area outside that was right beside the meandering pool. The AC worked great. We ate the continental breakfast as we didn't feel the upgraded breakfast was worth the extra cost. Generally, the food is expensive in restaurants along the South Coast. Dinner at the beach bar worked for us since the food was good and reasonably price. Lounging on the beach or by the pool was very enjoyable. The hotel has flight crews staying who may be partying during their stay. The beach at the hotel was not great for swimming, but we went closer to the Hilton where the beach was much better. We walked to Carlisle Bay which was a nice walk along the beach.
“Perfect place”
nice, clean hotel, great pool, good location
“Very good”
Hotels in Barbados aren't the best but this one, is beautiful and clean. Don't expect a luxurious hotel.
“Great relaxing stay!"”
Everything was wonderful as far as the accommodations and the employees, it was very enjoyable. The location was pretty good, some restaurants walking distance, but not lots to see around there, although, very conveniently located to catch a bus into the city. Overall it was a great experience.
“Loved the layout of this place!!”
Very friendly staff, excellent layout, and good food! Wish there was a hot tub, but overall, thought the place was great!
“Still a winner the second time around!”
Returned for a 2nd year, in April. Again found staff to be quite friendly, attentive and responsive; room to be clean and comfortable; food tasty and pricey. Loved walking down steps from our porch into the pool!! Beach still a bit rough on the feet!!
“Very nice rooms, The beach bar was great!”
We stayed in this hotel at the beginning of December for three nights, and then for one night right before Christmas, as a "before and after" cruise hotel. The staff were efficient, the hotel has very pretty grounds, with waterfalls, and meandering pools, down to the beach bar. Our first room had a faulty air conditioner, and after complaining about it a few times, they upgraded us to a suite, which was fabulous, looking onto the beach, a real treat. The continental breakfast was included in the price, and for an extra $19 Barbados you could upgrade to a full breakfast with eggs, bacon etc. The beach was a little rocky, but a five minute walk away was a gorgeous sandy beach. We had room service, which was timely, hot and very good. Try the Flying Fish Strips....delicious.
“Fantastic but you have to go for Deluxe rooms!”
Deluxe rooms have a direct access to the swimming pool from the private terrace and are really confy with huge beds. The hotel does have a beach but you cannot swim there. easy access to the other beaches (on the right) just walking along the shore or the daily hotel courtesy rides to very nice Accra beach is really a plus. Overall excellent value for money! Would go back.
“Beats the competition!”
Had checked out several hotels on the island before booking this one which was very well priced (too well I thought to be good). Many people go for the West coast, but I tried it and much prefered the peace in the South coast
