“Duquesa de Cardona in April 2012”
The hotel is smart and attractive from the road, and very conveniently located, in easy walking distance of the main attractions, but away from the busiest late night haunts. Checking in was efficient and friendly, and all the receptionists spoke good English. The room was well presented, with good views from the balcony over the harbour. With the windows shut, there was no appreciable traffic noise except for the odd siren, and we were not disturbed by noise from other guests. The bed was very clean and comfortable, there was adequate storage, the safe and TV worked well, there were plenty of sockets for charging phones etc. Wifi was free and fast. The bathroom was clean and roomy. We reported that the basin pop-up waste tended to leak and they were pleased to be advised. Only two criticisms, the shower was not thermostatic and there was no non-slip bath mat. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice from the buffet, and very helpful waitresses.
“Excellent hotel”
I have actually responded already to the initial survey regarding this hotel. We booked this hotel using trip advisor and booking through Expedia online .It was the hotel we chose for the beginning of a two week driving trip through Spain .We spent our first 2 days there and knew that we would be just as happy returning there for the last few days of our trip.
“Great Hotel”
Great hotel in a great location. The only drawback is that it is a boutique hotel so our taxi driver wasn't familiar with it, but luckily I had the address.
“Great hotel”
Myself and my girlfriend stayed here recently and would not hesitate to recommend it. Excellent location, close to La Ramblas and only two minutes from a Bus Tour stop. Some very nice restaurants are near by.
“super small four star hotel”
delightful hotel situated opposite the marina, very close to all facilities.ideal hotel for the tourist.restuarant only offers breakfast but with all the superb eating houses nearby was not considered necessary.
“Wonderful Hotel !”
We love this boutique hotel...great location, exceptional staff. comfortable and very clean room......could not have chosen a better hotel for our stay in Barcelona !
“very helpful staff”
wonderful room overlooking the port handy for la ramblas luxury feel about the hotel
“Fantasic Hotel- Stay There”
We arrived on Wed just before our room was ready. They suggseted we go to the roof garden patio and wait. We had wine and cheese and a beautiful view of the harbor. Our bags were taken to your room and the charner English speaker waiter informed us when it was ready. We had the breakfast buffet each morning ( great not inexpensive 15 E but worth it) The hotel is a block form the Off/On bus ( the best way to get to all key attractions in Barcelona) and best of all- you can buy your ticket at the hotel. So convenient. We had a lovely room. Ask for a room facing the inner courtyard- if you want the very quietest rooms. The ones in front have great views- a little more noise, The third night we had dinner in the hotel- they has a special "Opera night" Fixed Price dinner. It was fantastic. Greeat food, unlimited wine and two outstanding opera singers who performed the best of classic arias. The dining room is beauftiful with very high ceilings and lovely decore. This was a great ending to a terrific visit, The front desk and all the service people were outstanding and very knowledgable- also English speaking Stay there you will love it
“Excellent service”
Provides all of the benefits of a small hotel in a big city. Very attentive and cooperative staff.
“A Pure Gem. Excellent location, clean and classy!”
located in a perfect spot. Yes the breakfast is a bit on the expensive side, but there are a lot of little bakeries around and The Boqueria is just a few minutes walk...So don't worry. The staff prooved to be helpfull and were promptI to investigate the few requests I had. The place is clean and classy, the terrasse is beautiful, and you will enjoy taking the apero before exploring the surroundings. The place was recommended by someone I know, and I am glad to recommend it again

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
