“Firsy class”
Everything about this hotel was exceptional. The only thing to mention, like in some other reviews, was the noise if you get a room next to the cleaners cupboard. Otherwise, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Perfect location, comfortable and stylish rooms, lovely roof terrace to enjoy a late night drink and warm, friendly staff. Book with confidence.
“Chic and Relaxed”
This hotel was far better than we expected. A wonderful location, in that it is on a quiet side street but is a short walk to the main parts of the city, is combined with an chic, elegant and relaxed interior. For the money we expectd something more downscale and instead found it more upscale than we had hoped for.

This hotel is best ive ever stayed in, it was fantastic!!! The rooms were vey stylish, very clean and vey comfortable. The hotel layout was perfect and beautiful. A very cool pool and bar on the rooftop, very relaxing. The staff spoke very good english and were so nice and helpful. We wanted the best hotel and thats exactly what we got and cannot wait to go back there in the near future. The location was great, nice and peace ful and about a 20-25 min walk into to cataluna square and las ramblas. My only advice is because the hotel is quite new (november 2005)i would write down the address for when getting into taxis, which were also very reasonable (well in my eyes anyway)
“Hotel Granados 83 - September 2007 - Excellent!”
My wife and I chose the Granados 83 for a long weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! The hotel is stunning - compact, yet very modern and luxurious. All the staff were fabulous, even bringing us 2 bottles of Cava and Strawberries to congratulate us on a first happy year of marriage. We stayed on the fifth floor at the rear of the hotel meaning we also had a small balcony - this was nice as it allowed us to just chill out in the sunshine as we were getting ready to go out. We had breakfast in the hotel and although it was good it did seem a bit on the pricey side. Still, if you're feeling hungry after a big night out then it's probably worth it. Our room was very modern, nice LCD TV, integrated music system, dimmable lights were a nice feature - in fact, the whole room was well designed and stylishly put-together. All in all, an excellent hotel that we would happily revisit to see more of Barcelona's fabulous sights.
“Great decision to stay here!”
It is a great boutique hotel. It was quite, restful and pleasant. We used the city ticket for metro and bus travel. Only walk a couple of blocks to get to the metro.
“Lovely Hotel”
Hotel Granados 83 was excellent. It lived up to the good reviews that we had read prior to booking our trip. It was definitely worth paying a little bit more for the extra luxury. The reception area was large and airy, and staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room was at the back of the hotel, on the 4th floor. It had a balcony which over looked the terrace on the second floor and residential flats. I don't suppose you get many hotels so close to the city centre with nice views. The room was pretty clean, there were however a few grubby patches in the marble effect bathroom. Overall the room was extremely comfortable and plenty big enough. Breakfast was a buffet selection of fruit, cereal, meats and cheese. It was also possible to have cooked breakfast. Staff were very attentive and we were never without coffee or juice. The hotel was located within 5 minutes walk of the "Diagonal" metro stop. The area seemed pretty good and there were several small restaurants and bars nearby. Walking into the city centre was also fairly easy, taking about 15 minutes to get to Plaça de Catalunya down La Rambla. The Hotel issued us with information on how to spot a scam as soon as we arrived. I think it is wise to be vigilant but don't let security concerns spoil your holiday. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona as a tourist.
“Barcelona - great hotel”
Great hotel. Perfect location. Skip the expensive breakfast and we never did get a straight answer on wifi, 1hr a day, free in the lobby. Or not. But it was a great room good beds, super clean and stylish. I'd stay there again FOR SURE. Oh and they stored our bags for free while we took a 2 day trip off to Bilbao.
“Excellent service”
Staff all very helpful and friendly. Were given recommendations of excellent restaurants to try.... non of them were touristy/full of Spaniards which is just what we wanted and the cuisine was excellent.The standard of cleanliness in the hotel is the best I have ever experienced. Can't praise this hotel enough.

After I was pickpocketed, Alberto was so helpdul with all the phone calls andpolice report that had to be done. He was a life saver!
“Spanish Honeymoon”
The Nixe Palace is an amazing hotel in a gorgeous setting , with a fantastic view in a perfect location! The hotel is not much to behold from the street side, but as soon as you walk into the marble lobby and catch your first glimpse of the expansive ocean view- you're swept away! Each guest room, I believe, has a balcony & view of the ocean and neighboring cliffs and amazing old buildings perched on them. You're only steps from the beach and conveniently located within restaurants, pharmacies, & a couple cute bars. It's about 10 minute walk to a major shopping mall and the beginning on the Marina area, and about a 10 min cab ride to Old Palma: A perfect & NON_ COMMERCIAL our tourist overrun location.
