Short stop in Barcelona
Location is great however with that comes noise till 3-4am. There are about 7 flights of stairs to the unit we were in so that's something to consider when hauling a lot of luggage. The unit was spacious enough with a small kitchenette which was nice. The biggest problem was no hot water, we asked about it and they said there was but no matter how long the water was on it was cool so showers weren't great. Overall it's a nice unit and a fantastic location with a few issues. We would stay again.

Amazing location!
The rooms are basic but clean and housekeeping came every day! The staff on the front desk are at your disposal 24/7 and were very friendly, we were able to leave our bags there after checking out as our flight was later in the day. The location is ideal for exploring Barcelona and is close to the train station!

The hotel is in a great location for food options, proximity to transport and local sightseeing! It is a walk up, and it was a little awkward to get into at first but the staff is amazing and very helpful! The only things to note; it’s a great area for nightlife and bars but this also means you have the noise to go along. The beds were also too hard for my liking. Otherwise, would book again!

This was a "no-frills" room. Which was EXACTLY what my 3 adult children and I were looking for! It was absolutely PERFECT for our needs! A room with 3 beds (a double and 2 singles), free wi-fi, and a private bath and shower. When we arrived, we walked up the stairs to the 4th floor (no elevator, it's a historic building) and we were warmly greeted. My Spanish is really deplorable, but they kindly switched to English, for all of our sakes! LOL We checked into our room and found we had towels waiting on our beds with individual bottles of body wash for each of us. The area (Gothic) is an amazing place to wander. I use the word "amazing" a little tongue-in-cheek" because many of the streets are more like alleys, and it seems a bit like walking in a maze. LOL However, the area, the architecture, and most of all, the people are delightful and kind. We had a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a place to stay as an individual or a family. Again, though, keep in mind, it is a place to sleep. Not a 5-star hotel! Clean, safe and the area is beautiful! Thank you Hostal Hera for a great family experience.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti in camera doppia con bagno privato. Ostello semplice, distribuito dal terzo al sesto piano di un vecchio palazzo senza ascensore, in zona centralissima e strategica, a 200 m dalla stazione di Francia (treni Renfe) e a due passi dal Born, dal Barrio Gotico e dalla Barcelloneta (dove c'è la metrò L4), in 15 minuti a piedi si arriva alla Rambla. Nonostante l'androne di ingresso del palazzo e le scale siano da rimodernare e con un po' di odore di umidità (non eccessivamente fastidioso), e nonostante le scale da salire a piedi, la zona della pensione è ok, semplice, pulita, funzionale e profumata, nessun odore di umidità. La camera piccola, ma completa di tutto e, soprattutto, pulita, rimodernata al giusto per il prezzo proposto. Bagno a posto, con doccia ampia, pulita e funzionante, phon presente. Materasso comodissimo. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile, puoi farti sempre un thè alla reception quando lo desideri. Per la nostra esperienza di soggiorno short, super consigliato in rapporto al prezzo, più onesto rispetto ad altre location in zona.

Ce qui faut savoir, c'est qu'il y a des chambres au 4ème étage voir plus sans ascenseurs. La chambre était petite mais ca passe on y est que pour dormir. Autrement super quartier qui bouge bien, a deux pas de la gare (éstación de Francia).

Eine tolle unterkunft um ein paar tage in Barcelona zu verbringen. Es ist gut zu öffentlichen transportmittel angebunden und Gedchäfte und restaurants zu fuß erreichbar. Das Personal war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das einzig negative: aufgrund des alten Gebäudes gibt es keinem Aufzug.

Sehr gute Lage. Tolle Dusche. Matratze leider nicht sehr bequem. Kein Schrank, kein Regal, keine Haken: man konnte also nichts auspacken. Durch die kleine Größe des Ziers musste man recht beengt aus dem Koffer leben. WLAN ausgezeichnet. Fenster zum Innenhof, sehr leise. Zimmer zueinander: sehr schlecht isoliert.

Einzigartige Location im historischen Haus im historischen Viertel in der Nähe vom Strand und Meerpromenade. Alles ist sehr sauber und neu Aber zu schlichte Einrichtung - kein normalen Schrank und Tisch gibt's im Zimmer, was ein Problem mit ordentlicher Aufbewahrung macht. Und das Hauptproblem ist berümter Bar Paradiso unten , der verursacht Lärm die ganze Nacht ( und das große Fenster des Zimmers ist leider nicht dicht).

Es wurde jeden Tag sauber gemacht und die Rezeption war 24 h geöffnet. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön. Nur die Matratze war sehr Fest.

Die Lage ist perfekt, allerdings war das Zimmer winzig und man hörte einfach alles durch die Tür. Auch war die Zimmertür von innen nicht verschliessbar. Es hat 2, 3 Bilder vom originalzimmer, die restlichen Bilder sind wahrscheinlich von einem grossen Zimmer, welches es nur einmal gibt. Die Sauberkeit war okay und das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. In diesem Hostel sollte man nur ein Zimmer mit einer Person buchen, mit welcher man sich sehr nahe steht und man keine Hemmungen von ihr oder ihm hat, sich aus dem Weg gehen in diesem kleinen Zimmer geht nicht.

First of all, we thank you for staying with us and for your time to leave us your score and comments. On the other hand , we do not agree with you , all the doors can be perfectly locked from the inside , you may not have known but for that we have a 24 hour reception and you have not asked us for help . In addition, before making the reservation it is specified that the room is smaller than the others and that the views are interior, when the guest wants a larger room or with separate beds we have other options, with other prices obviously.

Heerlijke hostel op een A-locatie in de wijk El Born. Midden in het oude centrum met veel vertier, maar toch rustig gelegen in een zijstraat. Dichtbij het strand, metro en treinstation, 10 min wandelen vanaf de Ramblas. Keurig, schoon, vriendelijk personeel. Geen ontbijt, maar talloze leuke tentjes om te ontbijten op slechts enkele minuten lopen. Aanrader voor een weekend Barcelona!

Nos despertaron entrando en la habitación
La primera mañana nos despertaron las conversaciones altísimas de las trabajadoras junto a las puertas. Pero lo peor fue que ENTRARON EN LA HABITACIÓN SIN PERMISO solo para preguntar si queríamos limpieza, mientras nos estábamos aun despertando a las 9.30h. Me parece imperdonable esa falta de intimidad y formas.

Lo sentimos pero el servicio de limpieza empieza en los hoteles sobre las 09:00 horas por lo que no entendemos su extrañeza. Antes de entrar en las habitaciones siempre pedimos permiso para entrar de manera cautelosa pero quizás ustedes no nos oyeron.

Muy malo
Experiencia muy mala, instalaciones recientemente remodeladas pero no funcionales, el ingreso al pasillo con un olor constante a aguas residuales, el sanitario con escape de agua que formaba un pantano en el baño; sin servicio de internet y cero disponibilidad del personal de solucionar los problemas. Jamas recomendaria este hospedaje.

Buenos días. Estamos totalmente en desacuerdo ya que el olor era de pintura ya que se había pintado toda la planta hacía escasos días. Después de hacer varias comprobaciones, el tema del wifi debía de ser un problema de configuración de su teléfono ya que hay conexión en todas partes y nunca hemos tenido una sola queja. Se lo explicamos pero no nos quisieron escuchar.
