Dining
La Poma - The hotel's pride and joy, La Poma restaurant is divided into two distinct sections. On the first floor level is a large room with traditional Spanish decor. A varied menu is on offer here, but the highly regarded specialties are meat dishes from the charcoal grill and the traditional sea-food paella. Also on offer is fresh fish of the day and lobster. Downstairs at street level the same menu is on offer but in a more casual, cafeteria-style setting. Both sections of the restaurant are busy with outside visitors every night and have an independent entrance from the street.

“Brilliant hotel in ideal location!”
Brilliant hotel in ideal location! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Everything is walking distance, only a short journey to airport buses and tour buses to view the city. Very friendly and polite staff. Definitely stay there again.
“Newly refurbished contemporary - great location!”
Great hotel, great location! Newly refurbished hotel-immaculate!
“Royal ramblas”
Reasonably priced, very clean, modern decor. We had a great visit.
“Perfect location for a romantic city break”
Lovely hotel and Fantastic location. Right on La Rambla, and when in our superior room (which looked out onto La Rambla) we could not hear much noise, so it was ideally quiet. Unfortunately, whilst there was not much noise from the street, the interior walls are pretty thin so that meant there was a couple of times we were awoken early by the cleaner banging about in the room next door! But this is a minor gripe, and otherwise, it was the perfect spot for our romantic city break. It has recently been refurbished so the rooms were new and clean.
“Helpful hotel”
The staff was exceptional. Airline has lost our luggage, they made all the effort in the world to help us. They made sure that we had our luggages on board the cruise ship. They communicated with the airline staff in spanish. to make all went well. great hotel and great staff

“Must go back and would recommend”
The Royal is very comfortable and clean. Newly refurbished room. Helpful staff, excellent breakfast at an extra discounted cost (worth while). The best location ever. Very close to shops, restaurants/bars and metro. Would go back tomorrow. Barcelona is a beautiful city.

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
