“It made our trip!”
We absolutely loved this place. It may not have the most up to date of amenities in some instances, but the good aspects far outweighed that. Full of old world charm and serenity. The staff are great with helping with getting around and booking tickets etc. The location couldn't be better- right in the heart of the Hutong area of Dong Cheng, just a walk from the Forbidden City. Only possible negs- mattress hard & room internet intermittent.
“Lu Song Yuan Hotel Review”
I had a single room, and it was small. Small as in the size of a walk-in closet. Not that big room would have made it better, it was just small. Still, good value for the price. Overall the staff was very helpful and their English was very good and the hotel is located in a great location to see the many sights Beijing has to offer. Great location and only one block from the subway, and within a few block area there were these great "alleys" full of shops, restaurants and coffee houses. One of the "alleys" was a "culinary" alley and was nothing but restaurants and food carts at night. The best.
