“Extremely comfortable and convenient”
Easy to park, good selection at breakfast, very quiet nights sleep
“It's the only good hotel in the middle of no where”
I had to got for the Nortel traning. The Nortel bus comes to the hotel. So that's good. But the hotel is over priced for the quality. Breakfast is a little boaring. The staff were excellent. You have to ask for additional heat. The heater didn't workn in my room.
“Efficient and very functional”
Hotel ticked all the essential boxes but was large and lacked character. The swimming pool was good if got up early to miss the busy times
“Good (comfy) value”
I wasn't expecting much from a Holiday Inn (compared to recent experiences of other similarly priced hotel chains). I just booked this for convenience for after a wedding reception, and was really pleasantly surprised. My room was homely and quiet. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean and bright. I had a great night's sleep. Although, it seems geared at conferences and business travellers, this is a good option if you're just after somewhere to stay rather than a holiday destination. Good value for money (although I didn't have breakfast or any extras)
“Polite and friendly staff”
We were only there for one night however we enjoyed out stay. The staff that we met were all very friendly and polite. Only problem with out booking was having asked for a cot for our 6 month old, we arrived at our room to find that the sofa bed had been put out instead. No good for a baby.
“Excellent stop over”
Hotel is well placed for a stay over while visiting several attractions. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast in restaurant was good but very busy with families - however the manageress of the restauurant, Maureen, runs it exceptionally well and waiting time is minimised - she and her team work hard and worlk well. I would recommend the hotel for a 1 or 2 night stop over
“Weekend break in Maidenhead”
The hotel has good facilities in terms of parking and leisure and is very popular. Location is about 10 minutes walk from the station/town centre. The bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms were very well presented, and kept very clean. There was a wide ranging buffet breakfast (cold and hot food), but just be aware that the breakfast room does get very busy at key times so there may be a slight wait for a table to become free. Cost given location and services is not bad, but the pricing for the internet is too high - there is an hourly rate but cost for longer is £25 for 24 hours. There is a leisure package at £28 for internet and as many films as you want, which is better value
“Its a Holiday Inn, innit”
On arrival the receptionist tried to sell us vouchers for breakfast. This consists of a few cereals and lukewarm fry up selection, make your own toast. The garage next door does a microwaved muffin and a coffee for about £4 which is on a par in terms of quality. We fancied the bar snack menu but on Sunday evening it was suddenly unavailable! Our double room was slightly on the small side but it was clean and we slept well for 2 nights. We lost hot water for an hour on Saturday evening, apart from that the shower was good. The pool was ok, good size. The place is popular with families - the large lounge in the evening was awash with children of crawling and running ages, an inappropriate venue for the man on a 'blind date' with a girl half his age but they provided entertainment for the older kids to snigger at whilst their Dads watched the footie on the big telly. Its a good base to go out from. Taxis can be ordered readily and consistently arrive within 10 mins. If you are discerning about your food you are spoilt for choice with restaurants including the famous ones in Bray within a 10 minute ride so use this place for what it does best - a comfy place to put your head down and have a quick swim in the morning before you go out. 5 minutes from the train station and centre of town. Its a typical, though slightly jaded, Holiday Inn.
“OK for a few nights”
The room was clean but very small. We suspect it was originally a single room but a small double bed had been put in to make it a 'double room'. It would also be beneficial if the hotel were to offer a complimentary breakfast. The hot water system was not wonderful.
