“Great price for this location!”
Great price, good location (make sure to check out the district just south of Nollendorfplatz U-bahn, including Eldorado bar). We never tried the food, but it always smelled delicious! Staff were helpful and friendly. This may be a German thing, but if you want to sleep past 7AM, make sure to put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. The cleaning staff is so eager to make everything perfect that they start very early in the morning!
“Great stay.”
Stayed in a recently renovated room. New bed, linens and bathroom fixtures. Great shower (temperature and pressure). No flooding of bathroom from shower. Mini fridge and Nespresso machine in the room. Lots of plugs. Great staff; all spoke English fluently and were very helpful, Christoph particularly. Central location less than 5 minute walk to major tram/subway station (Nollendorf Platz) where there are several restaurants, small grocery and fruit/vegetable shops nearby. Would stay again and recommend without hesitation.
“Great hotel in Berlin”
The hotel locates near a bus stop for 100 and m29, which take you to all of the major tourist locations. With less than 10 minutes of walking distance, you can reach the upscale shopping center KaDeWe and numerous restaurants (Italian, Steak, Thai, Indian, Chinese). We picked restaurants that looked popular and were quite impressed by the quality and freshness of the foods. The only exception was an asian food bar inside KaDeWe, where the foods were not as good. It was the only place we did not use the popularity rule for dining choise. We were surprised that KaDeWe did not choose a better asian restaurant such as Asian Gourmet, which is a chain restaurant in Berlin and serves fresh/tasty asian dishes. Our hotel package has free internet, but some guests have free breakfast (which costs 20 euros if you buy yourself). The high definition TV in our room has many English channels such as CNN and a few chinese channels. The hotel hosts some business event everyday and its bar is very popular. If you like Dortmunder beer, then Bitburger (available at a small but popular restaurant inside Hackesche Hoefe) is a better choice than the popular Berliner Pilsner beer. If you need only a room for 2 persons and want to save money, the near-by Holidayinn Express might be also a good option. The Internet at Holidayinn costs 5 euros per day when we visited Holidayinn.
“Highly recommended if you afre in Berlin!”
It was a GREAT EXPERIENCE! Wonderful room, very nice staff, excellent breakfast! We'll be back anytime!
“Fantastic”
great place - superb decor - very stylish in 50s retro kind of way
“Ideal for the tourist sites”
Hotel good value, use the 100 bus route that stops on the square to get to Zoo and the other direction towards Alexanderplatz and the sites such as Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate,Museum Island etc. Approx 5 mins walk from U-Bahn. Would stay here again.
“Excellent Hotel in Berlin”
We stayed there for 4 nights and were thoroughly impressed by the hotel, friendly staff and good location for exploring both former West and East Berlin. Would definately recommend the club sandwich from the room service menu! Drinks at the bar are a wee bit on the expensive side. Enjoy!
“Good location, good service, good value”
Stayed at Hotel Berlin on a recent business trip. Good, central location, walking distance to good shops and a few restaurants. Rooms quiet. Metro nearby. Small bar, but excellent restaurant. Enthusiastic cleaning staff! My only complaint was with the bath in the junior suite - its impressively large but dangerously unsuitable for showering due to a sculpted base.
“Great Hotel - Upgrade most unexpected - but nice!!”
Arrived at 11.30 pm and upgraded from a standard room to a corner suite!! Hotel is excellent, staff friendly and most UK TV channels are available for free. Close to Nollerendorfplatz U Bahn station and on the 100 bus route so very handily placed.
“very impressed quite central good breakfast going back soon”
