“Thats the place to stay in Berlin”
Its a guest friendly hotel with smiling staff and attending to the needs in a jiffy. The location of the hotel nearter to the main shopping area and the railway station made it easier for us. The ambience and the cozy comfort of the rooms makes it a home away from home. Great place and will be the preferred hotel next time we are in Berlin.
“Decent hotel with charm and accessibility...”
The Hotel Kronprinz is a quality hotel, with a few nice flourishes and a solid location that make it a good choice for travelers needing access to the western portion and suburbs of Berlin. You'll find an attentive, multilingual staff mixing friendly charm with crisp service, and solid diversity across class and age amongst your fellow hotel guest. A standard room, while not large, has all basic necessities, including ample power outlets and phone; a small minibar and a small HD television were also included. Wireless internet access is available in the room for additional fees, with discounts for multiple days. An iron (or laundry service) can be requested at the front desk, along with additional toiletries (although the basic ones are replenished daily). Larger feature rooms and suites have even more space and luxuries, from what I observed. Traveling alone on business and needing to be able to both access my meeting location (Dahlem-Dorf), as well as readily visit some tourist/sightseeing areas, the location is surprisingly solid. While the hotel is located on a quiet street off of Kurfürstendamm and seems at times removed from the bustle of Berlin, a 2-4 minute walk will place you within reach of 3 bus routes and the S-Bahn Halensee station, making other locales easily accessible via public transit (including both airports, although Tegel requires a transfer from S-Bahn to a bus line). Overall, it's a solid 3-4 star (US rating) hotel for business or holiday travelers.
“Disappointing”
On your site you say it has free parking which is not true unless you can manage to park on the street. The hotel parking facility costs 13 euro's a day. We were supposed to be booked into a superior double but superior it certainly was not.
“misleading promises”
Over all the hotel was good to stay at, however we were annoyed with the so called 'free parking'. The hotel sells it self with free parking and because we had a rented car it was one of the reasons we booked. When we arrived we were told there was free parking in the street around the hotel. I have never been to a hotel that clams parking around the streets as free parking and as a selling point.
