“Excellent Location”
The Savoy was a fine, small, clean hotel that is located near the central transit area by the Berlin Zoo and also within walking distance of a number of attractions. At a good price, we didn't mind the lack of a view from our room facing an inner courtyard.
“Wonderful slice of Berlin History”
Wonderfully cavernous rooms, Friendly efficient service and a taste of Luxury.Conveniently situated a few hundred yards from the S, U, and RE station Zoologischer garten (the zoo)
“Excellent hotel”
Hotel is in an excellent location, close to Kurfurstendam shops, good restaurants, and the restaurant in the hotel itself was very good. Fantastic breakfast, and all the staff were extremely helpful - couldn't fault them.
“Comfort and a warm welcome in the heart of Berlin”
The Savoy Hotel Berlin is centrally-situated with comfortable rooms and excellent service.
“Fantastic hotel”
Fantastic hotel - very smart and stylish decor, lovely room and very attentive staff.
“Elegance in Berlin”
The Savoy in Berlin may not be quite up to the standards of its London namesake but it provided us with an elegant, comfortable and well located place to stay for a pre Christmas family "city break". All staff were courteous, well trained and very helpful, the decor was impressive (if slightly over the top for my taste) and the room comfortable and well furnished. Breakfast (not included in our room rate) was well worth the supplement for the quality and range of the fare on offer to fill up with before a busy day in the cold. The only complaint was the rather inadequate pillow on the bed which took some getting used to. I probably should have complained. The location is ideal for shopping around the Ku' Dam (Ka De We is 10 minutes walk away) and for restaurants, cinemas and theatres. It is also well served by the excellent bus U Bahn and S Bahn services from Zoo Station (5 minutes walk away).
“Would definitely stay again”
The hotel was situated in a fantastic location for seeing the sights of Berlin, with a great coffee (and croissant) place just over the road! The only thing that let it down was the fact that they still allow smoking in public places in Berlin, so the hotel was a bit smelly.
“Not Quite The London Savoy!”
The Savoy in Berlin is situated in a fairly quiet street only a few minutes walk from the Zoo station so transport links are close by. The hotel is in need of updating, although rooms are large, well-appointed and comfortable. Service was excellent throughout our stay with friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff always available to help. Breakfast was substantial and set us up nicely for the day.
“Savoy was wonderful”
We are return visitors to the Savoy Hotel Berlin and had another very good experience during this latest trip. Upon our early arrival our room was not ready and the front desk staff very politely asked us to wait and offered us tea and coffe, which came promptly. Then, only 10 minutes into the wait we were given our room keys and the luggage was brought up. We had been upgraded to a better room to make sure we won't have to wait that log. This room was gorgious with views to the garden and a very pretty, big bathroom. The staff, service, and product at the Savoy Hotel is excellent and we would always recommend this conveniently located property to fellow travelers.
“old-fashioned comfort in Berlin”
The Savoy is a wonderful hotel located in a super location for getting around the city of Berlin. The S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and bus stops are all within two blocks of the hotel. There are also lots of good restaurants, shopping and attractions within walking distance. Also, a very handy and huge supermarket is 1 1/2 blocks away for buying water, snacks, toiletries, etc. We want to return to Berlin in the warmer weather when the trees have leaved out, and would definitely stay at the Savoy again.
