“Highly recommended”
Great location, quiet and pleasant. The staff was very helpful in their recommendations and travel arrangements. The regular room was more than enough. very good arranged, and comfortable. Highly recommended
“Fits the bill”
Excellent location, excellent comfort, have breakfast out unless someone else paying (€23-too dear)
“First Rate Deluxe Hotel”
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. It does not disappoint. The rooms, service etc are deluxe. Do not miss the buffet breakfast which is expensive and worth every penny
“Great Value!”
The hotel was a great value, especially since the Swissotel and Concorde Berlin were down the street for a lot more. It is in a great location behind the main streets but close enough to them. I thought the front desk staff were friendly and they spoke english. They even had the room ready on a very early check-in, which is unusual for European hotels. I would definitely stay there when I return.
“SteigenGreat”
I have a working philosophy in life and that is "If You Buy Cheap - You Buy Twice." What do I mean buy that - you want to pay for the best that your money can afford (this hotel is stating 5 Star) plus what are the extra's. As a retired business person who has stayed here before I spotted a jewel in the crown -so too speak. There is an Executive Package with Lounge Access which may look expensive but by paying a few Pounds or Euro's extra will give you access to a lounge on the 6th floor where you can have a very pleasant breakfast FOC (check the hotel rate please) as part of your package plus afternoon snacks and evening drinks. (The business people who stay here were on a bus as part of their convention to an alternate venue somewhere else). Within 200 metres of the Hotel there are numerous country eateries which will appeal to all tastes - a local NETTO store is beside the U-Bahn Station. Oh by the way ...Ku'Dam is 150 metres distant and KaDeWe is about 200 metres....life is a BEACH.
“VERY SATISFIED”
Everything about this hotel was great: staff, location, facilities. It had an indoor pool. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, and I have high expectations when I stay in a hotel. This hotel is VERY professionally managed. The room was great and the hotel staff is very professional. The elevators are basically secured in that you need you hotel card to operate them, most of the time. You have to go through the lobby to get to the elevators, pass the front desk. There is also an underground connecting garage that is reasonably priced. The only negative was that the breakfast was not included in my plan, and it was expensive, especially with the dollar to euro ratio being so high. I did not check out the food facilities because of that. But there are many places to eat nearby, because the hotel is centrally located. I would return. It is better to book here with American dollars prepaid.
“The superb Steigenberger Berlin”
The hotel was fantastic. Polite staff, comfortable rooms, indoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi (there is a computer room also). It is very conveniently placed, being near the shopping area, the zoo, the bus station, and there are plenty of competitively priced restaurants and cafes in the vicinity (check out the Avanti to the side of the hotel). Berlin is a must see. Would definitely return to this hotel.
“"Highly recommend this hotel, excellent location"”
The Steigenberger is a very good hotel in a central, yet quiet location, near to shops, restaurants and public transport. Hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are friendly and effiecient. The Executive Lounge is excellent, and is definitely worth paying the extra money for, as when it is open there is always something available to eat, and there is a good selections of drinks. Will be booking into to this hotel again on next visit to Berlin.
“Just as you would expect...”
Hotel lived up to its rating. Clean, comfortable, good food, quiet in evening, well situated for tourism Helpful staff - but worth asking advice from more than one as opinions on trips etc seem to vary. May be worth looking at upgrading room as some packages include breakfast and lunch. Only complaint was that couldn't get air con to work, even after one of the staff came to look. But just opened window. Was advised to get a Berlin welcomw card for 72 hours travel and reduced entry rates. Didn't get moneysworthas other day, and group tickets also give excellent value. Many attractions are free entry.
“Great Location”
Hotel is within a 5 min walk from the train/underground station ( Berlin Zoo) which makes arrival from the airport and sight seeing easy. Room was upgraded on arrival. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The room rate for the hotel was very good considering the quality of accommodation. We did not take breakfast in the hotel because we felt it was too expensive. An Italian cafe a shot distance away provided a reasonable alternative. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant on our last evening which was excellent and very reasonably priced. The hotel bar was cosy with live music from a duo on 3 nights. Berlin is not a cheap break however drinks in the bar were not much more expensive than the city bars. Staff were excellent and helpfull
