"Truly beautiful location in the heart of Grindelwald. Even though the street was busy, we never heard the noise from our balcony overlooking the Eiger. The room had plenty of space and was comfortable and clean. Hotel staff was very kind."

"View - view from the front of the hotel is stunning. The Deck - Hotel’s restaurant which is actually a Deck overlooking mountains. It is in front, outside the hotel and is gorgeous. Staff - courteous and polite Huge shout out to - Daniel, Natalie, Pedro, Louis, John. Rooms are nice, I booked with the forest view. Mountain view rooms are more expensive. Check size of the room before booking. They have foosball table, board games, billiards table. Self laundry service for CHF 10."
Hotel Bernerhof Grindelwald

"Unfortunately, this hotel felt cheap and outdated despite the price charged. Yes, the location is excellent, right in Grindelwald and close to the train station, and the mountain view from the balcony is beautiful. However, compared to other older hotels we stayed at in Zermatt and Pontresina, this hotel fell far short of expectations. The walls are paper thin — you can hear your neighbours very clearly. The room is extremely small and not particularly functional. The bathroom and shower are so tiny that they are difficult to use comfortably. Overall, everything feels low quality, from the artificial plastic flowers in the reception area to many aspects of the room itself. As we were dissatisfied, we inquired about shortening our stay and receiving a partial refund for one or two nights. The receptionist was kind and offered to discuss the matter with the manager, but our request was ultimately refused without much explanation or flexibility. While the location and view are definite positives, the overall experience did not meet our expectations for the price paid."
