“Lovely clean pleasant hotel with friendly helpful staff. Lovely views and lovely location”
We were attending a family wedding nearby and had travelled from Somerset. We were pleased with all aspects of this lovely hotel and would certainly stay there again
“Fabulous Hotel”
Great looking hotel tastefully decorated, well maintained. Perfect spot close to town with a good choice of restaurants and shops. A very pretty town. Service faultless except at reception but errors were soon sorted and very politely. Superb value for money. Will be back especially for family gatherings. Catering of highest quality.
“Good value”
Room was a fair size and although it was a standard room, we had all the toiletries and bottled water, iron and board etc. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, bar service good and buffet breakfast very nice. Negative was that the room could do with a refurb - wallpaper in the bathroom and bedroom peeling in places and tiling grout was discoloured and in need of replacement.
“mixed bag”
I was there to attend my brother's wedding. the hotel is very central, right beside the main shopping street and touchwood shopping centre. lovely location close to parks with playground for my neice and nephews. we were in the courtyard suite for the wedding. a bit in need of redecoration. the curtains and carpet have seen better days and the room was quite old fashioned in comparison to the lovely clean lounge and bar area overlooking the bowling green. the entrance bar to the suite from the front door was a bit chilly and dark with very little natural light. the bedrooms were comfortable. As a bridesmaid, i was in the bridal suite (townhouse) to get dressed for the wedding. there was no full length mirror in this room and we had to ask reception to 'steal' one from another room for us.
“Good hotel”
Stayed there in May 2007 for two nights. Room was very comfortable and included leather chair and footstool. The one evening meal I had there was very good, the restaurant Manager that night was brilliant.Car park gets full as it's also used by local visitors to Solihull but I had no problem finding a space.
“Nice hotel, expensive bar.”
Hotel generally pleasant to stay in; hotel was bring used as a reception venue for a wedding. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable, however, the menu and the bar especially were very expensive. Nice place to stay, friendly staff, but don't eat/drink there!!!
“Most enjoyable girls weekend!”
Pleasant hotel, nicely decorated bedroom, (bed too firm for me, but ok for a night)! Well situated easy walking distance of Touchwood shopping centre, which also offered a wide selection of places to eat..... and only 15 minutes from NEC/LG arena. Would visit again, and recommend to friends.
“Ramada Solihull”
All was going well until I was asked to pay a significant amount to park my car overnight. Have stayed in a nearby hotel and not paid for parking.
“Could have been much better!”
Restaurant staff in the evening were friendly and helpful and food Ok, not too expensive and well presented. Breakfast was simply over-priced and the hot food pretty average. Visit spoilt by not having any hot water in both rooms.
“Not Impressed”
I was not impressed with the hotel charging car parking fee of 7 pounds per day for hotel guest. I was not told by Expedia that I would be charged for car parking. Internet services for 24 hours was 12 pounds which is a rip off. The Channels available on the TV were not adequate.
