I was a bit wary on booking this hotel....hotel without a window? What's that all about?
It has very good reviews so I booked it to try it.
Small, compact room that makes the absolute best of its space. Suitcase fitted right under the bed allows you more room.
The longest bed I have ever seen with a state of the art Samsung TV at the bottom of it fitting into the wall.
A choice of ambient lighting to suit your mood includes a clever illusion that you do indeed have a window and it's a sunny day outside.
This place is very well priced (I mean cheap) and is worth every penny.
An added bonus is the location, it is situated around St Pauls Square that has everything if you want to avoid the city centre. If you do want the city centre then it's only 10 minutes away. I will certainly be going back again.

Very nice hotel which is my favourite in Birmingham because of the price. The bar and the breakfast.
Ate there for evening meal for the first time and it was very good the plus being they serve until late compared to other local restaurants, it is near St. Paul's square where there are good restaurants. Also try Felinis in the Radisson Blu hotel 2 minutes walk away - it is a very good Italian restaurant within the hotel.

Great hotel; booked a standard room which turned out to be more like a suite. Entrance to Spa and use of gym and spa facilities is included in the room rate which was welcome after a long drive. Breakfast was good but there are lots of places to eat nearby if you haven't booked.
We had a lovely stay in Birmingham. I have stayed at the Copthorne before and that is why I recommended it. It's central to everything and a short walk to most places. We all had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend to anyone else going to Birmingham.
This hotel really is lovely and our stay was fantastic from start to finish. We had a deluxe room and it was spacious and very clean. The king bed was huge and the mini bar and snacks available were all great. The bathroom was the highlight of this room with a huge roll top bath and enormous walk in monsoon shower which nearly knocked me over it was that powerful. The bathroom had a clinical feel about it which was great as I guess it was based on one of the bathrooms from the old eye hospital. We had a front facing room and there was a bit of noise from the front street from passers by late on a Saturday night but nothing to loud or after 12 ish so not so bad. One bad point with this hotel is the lift. It's an old looking open lift shaft and very small inside. Slow going up and down. It got stuck on the way down on one journey and although not in there for more than 5 mins did start to panic. We were on the top floor but when we go again will sure to take the stairs. Apart from that flawless hotel and really impressive for a special occasion. Going to stay here agai ldn and would recommend to anyone.
