“Clean room......rest of hotel needs a lot of work.”

We booked our room on line & we very hesitant when we pulled up about what we would find inside our room. The area outside the hotel was littered with garbage & the hotel itself needs some work as it looked shabby. The closer we got to our room the nicer the place looked. Inside our room it was very clean & maintained. The room was clean & beds comfortable. We would be willing to stay there again since we had a nice room.

“A pleasant stay.”

The Country Hearth Inn did not have great reviews on line, but we were in a bind needing a room for graduation weekend. It was more reasonable then other motels in the area and we found it to be clean, tho in the process of renovating. The breakfast area was good. Our grandchildren had a great time. The young man on the desk out did himself by giving us a 1st floor room immediately (the elevator was out for 1 day) instead of 4th floor, and hand delivered a micro wave and small refrigerator. All the staff was helpful.

This hotel is in need of a lot of maintenance, but it was very clean and the staff were very polite and accommodating.

cheap, easy to get in five extra people that you're not paying for, and they care about anything. there wasn't free breakfast though.

“Better than it used to be”

I have stayed in this same hotel in the past. It was really bad a couple of years ago, but being in Bloomington hotels get booked fast on some weekends. We were happy to see that the owners have spent some money to fix it up, and it is acceptable for the money now. No major issues with cleanliness or appearance. It appears that they are doing more improvements, so it should actually get better.

“Needs extreme makeover”

The location of the hotel was very good, however this hotel is in dire need of remodeling. The structure of the hotel is in question as well. It served it's purpose for my trip, but if I had been vacationing, I would have been extremely upset. Bottom line: Service was good, but hotel needs an extreme makeover.

“Kind of sad, really”

The rooms here are very cheap but with good reason. The staff at this motel was very friendly and helpful and did what they could to resolve problems. A storm a few days before had knocked out the satellite reception in my room but they came and fixed it. The signal for the wireless didn't quite reach my room, but they allowed me to use the conference room so that I could go online in peace and quiet. However, other problems could not be so readily fixed: the elevator was out of service and the pool has been closed indefinitely. I overheard someone at the desk say that the motel had been foreclosed and that the bank was not interested in putting any money in to resolve these problems.

We travel every weekend for sports so hotels can add up.We needed something cheap but decent and it was. The staff was nice and they are trying to make improvements slowly. The breakfast wasn't good and there was no pool. But for a family on a budget it worked out for us!

“Got What I Paid For”

The hotel was recently "under new management." Hopefully, the apparent disrepair is a just a sign that they are trying to refurbish the hotel. I had to be relocated twice within the first 30 minutes of my stay because the complimentary wireless internet access does not cover the entire facility. In this respect, the staff was very polite and helpful. Otherwise, the hotel was a dive.
