“Friendly simplicity at its best”
Beautifully located, 15mn walking distance from the Vieux Port, plenty of restaurants and bars around, market on the Sunday... The staff is friendly and available, my studio flat was clean, fully functional, and very good valu for money. Definitely a place I'd recommend for the laid back traveller.
“Clean and Simple”
Hotel is clean and simple, apartment rooms were simply decorated and funished. Room had twin beds in a seperate room and a pull out double sofa bed in the lounge. Small kitchen area had a fridge, microwave and stove. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Went to watch a Rugby Match at the Stadt Velodrome which is about a 20 minute walk away. Plenty of cafe's and restaurants near by.
“A good basic hotel; ideal for a no-frills short stay in Marseilles.”
The hotel is centrally located in a quiet back street. Parking was relatively easy although the hotel car park was full. English speaking staff were very helpful. The hotel is basic but clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious if a little dated and lacking in built in air-conditioning although portable solutions were in place. We used the hotel as a base for an overnight stay in order to watch a rugby match at Stade Velodrome and for this the hotel was perfect.
“Great appartment”
The hotel is made up of several appartments containing a sofa-bed (which is unusually comfortable), en-suite and well equiped kitchenette. However, the room was not air conditioned and as such it was very warm, especially given the location. The main shopping area is a few minutes walk away and there is a McDonalds close by for those who can't speak French. There are few bars open in the immediate area late at night but there is a Metro station close by which will take you to the vibrant Marina area. Continental breakfast is available but at a cost. Uderground parking is available at an additional cost. Overall the hotel is good, staff are friendly but if you're looking for a cheap getaway, you'll need to use your loaf!
“Great location”
Good city hotel, only 2 metro stops from the old port. The hotel room was very nice, with TV; the only problem was that it had a convertible bed, which used the sofa cushions as pillows. Not very comfortable.
“Fine for a weekend break!!”
Hotel was clean, tidy and reasonably priced! Metro was just round the corner and Vieux Port only about 10 mins away (on metro)! Room was big and comfortable but had no Air Conditioning! It's no Burj Al Arab but fine for a short stay!!
“You get what you pay for”
ApartHotel situated in quiet spot near to the metro, shops and a popular market. Our room was relatively spacious with a balcony and a small kitchenette (which we never used). However, the carpet was tired looking and the shower had a leak with water seeping out of the bathroom. The hotel policy is that they only clean the rooms and provide fresh blankets after you have stayed a week so it not exactly a luxurious experience. However, for those on a budget it is adequate.
“Nice Marseille accomodations”
Nice location, no A/C in rooms. A single room is very small and only has a pull-out couch to sleep on, but this was comfortable. Close to metro route.
“Shame about the Location”
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights in a studio apartment in August 2006. There was nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The staff were helpful and they had all the facilities there and the rooms were clean and tidy and well equiped. It was just the location. We were on the ground floor and had a nice terrace, except that the view was a block across the road and it made the rooms very dark meaning lights are required even during the day. We did feel breakfast was a little steep for the variety offered but then you do have your own kitchens.
