“Married couple - excellent.”
Excellent hotel. Contrary to some of the comments made, we found the hotel staff very welcoming and friendly. The 4th floor chamber maid was very helpful. Breakfast at 9 Euros is good value for money and includes choices of fresh fruit, cereal, bread, rolls, pastries, chees, yoghurt, tean and coffee. Eat as much as you wish! Located about 400 metres from Gare St Charles, New Select is an easy walk from the station and can't be missed. The hotel is a 12 minute walk from the Old Port. Do not be overly concerned about personal safety, but be aware that you are in a large cosmopolitan city and use common sense when walking about.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly, and spoke english which was a huge help! The location is ideal. Very close to the train station and other attractions around Marseille! Would highly recommend

“Good location”
This hotel is located in a walk distance from Marseille train station, terminal of airport shuttle bus, shopping area and the port. (The terminal of airport shuttle bus is next to the train staion). Staff of the reception was very friendly. Only the problem, my wife and I stayed twin room faced to the busy road, is trafic noise. You'd better ask quieter room.
“Central Location”
This hotel was only 200m from the main station, and a short walk to the main port. The hotel had a central location which made sightseeing marseille very easy. The only down side of the location on a miain street was it could be noisy at times, but overall i enjoyed my stay
“Cheap and good standard”
The hotel was very convenient for me and my friend as it was very close to the St Charles railway station. The hotel was cheap and the standard was alright for the price we paid; clean rooms and bathrooms, an extra plus was the free internet. However, Marseille is not a nice city to visit at all, but if you have to- this hotel is to recommend for someone who looks for a cheap hotel.
“Recommended for good service”
Overall the hotel was not too bad, but not outstanding. However we had a very possitive experience with the staff there who helped us out with missing luggage. Good location, within walking distance to the train station which makes things a lot easier when you have luggage.

Very good location for sightseeing and also shopping. Very close to the port, walking distance to train station (200m). Would really recommend this hotel to all.
“Pleasant, comfortable stay in good location”
The hotel is very well-placed for the train-station and the city center. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and it was reasonably priced.
