“Very helpful staff”
Hotel staff were very friendly and professional. Excellent location.
“Nice comfortable hotel”
We only stayed one night. Everything we needed was there. Good service and a nice room. Very convenient for the heart of Brisbane.
“a great choice”
This was an excellent choice of hotel for it's convenient location - we spent a wonderful day at the galleries and were within easy walking distance of shopping and public transport. Comfort and service were also very good.
“Rooms were very quiet”
The food wasn't overly impressive. I have eaten far better meals for half the price
“Solid hotel in Brisbane”
Very pleased with the hotel. The staff was professional and the rooms and public areas were clean and updated. The location is good, but a little of a walk to the more popular wharf's on the river. Would definitely recommend.
“Basic and Clean”
This hotel is clean as it has been newly refurburished with modern decor. It has vegetarian options on the menu and the room service was quick and hot similarly breakfast was on time and was hot. There is a wide range of items for breakfast.
“Clean and Friendly, Great Location”
The location of this hotel was great. It was a short walk to restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. Our room was very nice and clean and the room service and restaurant were above average.
“Mecure - Acceptable”
Room - Adequate in need of refurbishment, Restaurant - Good breakfast selection, dinner menu lacking choice, room service selection poor, Location - Excellent easy access to CBD, Southbank. Somewhat pricy for what was offered but made up for with location.
“Some Good Some bad”
I travelled with my father to a sporting event in Brisbane, I would rate the experience 50/50. The hotel rooms are above average and suited our needs fine. It is right on the river and gives great access to both the city and the river for a stroll. As the main purpose of our trip was a sports event at Suncorp Stadium, the fact that it was a 15 min walk to the stadium was great. Now the not so great... We arrived on Friday evening off an international flight and just wanted a quick bite to eat in the hotel resturant. We now know that Friday night is seafood buffet night and that is the only option apart from a small roast meat section and a few cold meats. As neither of us are big seafood fans paying $120 each for a few pieces of roast beef was a bit extereme. Also the only bar in the hotel shuts at 10pm on Saturday nights as it is attached to the restaurant. We arrived back from Suncorp about 9.55pm wanting a couple of quiet beers and to be able to sit and chat about the game we had seen, as my father is in his mid 70's going to a bar in town was not really an option. On the up side we did eat in the restaurant on the Sunday night when it had reverted to a la carte and the service and steaks were very good. I would stay here again because of the location and as I now know the short comings of the hotel I would be able to better plan around these.
“Recommend if you dont mind this place looked like it is from last century”
I was firstly surprised with the narrow red door for my room. And then I was shocked by the size of the room. I would say the smallest 4 star hotel room I've ever stayed. Bed was comfortable, however, the toilet looks soooo 80s. This place looked more like a motel room, or it needs a renovation. Well, the only reason why I recommend this place is because of the location. Stone throw to most of the important place in the city. Myself would not stay in this place next time. For the same price I could definately find a better hotel.
