“Lovely hotel”
Lovely hotel, superb location just accross the river from the city. Very modern, spacious and friendly.
“Very good place and very convenient to the city.”
This hotel was very convenient to the places my wife and I had to go for brief business ventures. It is in the heart of the southbank area of Brisbane, which has very nice restaurants and night life. A new convention center is going up next door, which temporarily closes one sidewalk. But I am sure its completion will make this an even better and more convenient place to stay.
“Great Area”
The South Bank Area is much quieter than the busy downtown area in Brisbane, but just a 15 minute walk to the city sights.
“awesome, cant wait to take the whole family next time.”
Other than the initial surpise of the parking fees, the hotel and service experienced was excellent. A short walk to the South Bank parklands 4 minute walk to the mana made beach. Kids loved it, and was very relaxing.
“Everything as I hoped”
The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the museums and the city. The staff is particularly helpful and pleasant.
“Convenient Location”
Rydges is very handily placed for Central Brisbane exploration. A 10-15 minute walk across Victoria Bridge will take you straight into the Queen St. shopping area. The area around the hotel, Southbank, is a kind of mini Covent Garden with some quite good restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is a slick operation, friendly staff very laid back but helpful. Good bar on the ground floor. I'd definitely go back.
“great hotel”
The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is unbeatable for the City, entertainment and parklands.
“Great Location”
Great location for business and lesuire. Close to the train station.
“Ideal Location”
A great tourist location for all the South bank's amenities and only a short walk to the city centre.
“Excellent location in Brisbane”
Highly recommend South Bank Rydges; it was an excellent location and fantastic outlook fromn the balcony of the deluxe twin roon with a river view. the room was of a high standard (some small signs of wear), sunny balcony and room with good light. The air conditioning unit from the opposite building emitted a constant hum so try for a room number higher than 10(floor)24(room), maybe quieter if room 26 plus and/or higher floor. Helpful staff and good room cleaning service. 5-8 mins walk from the Airtrain station. Loads of quality eating places in the neighbourhood. Short walk to the Art Gallery for the Valentino exhibition. Across the road from Suncorp Stadium. Don't bother staying in the CBD when you can stay here at a very competitive price.
