“Warm, friendly and relaxing”
The staff here at the hotel are amazing. They were super helpful, and even made my husband a tea with honey and lemon when he mentioned he had a sore throat! The room ( we had a garden view) was big and comfortable. It is well located as well. Down sides ... Parking was expensive (20 euros), but the nice gentleman at the desk told us we could stay in the parking lot across the street for free that night as we arrived after 6, and move our car in the morning, thus saving us one night's parking fees.
“Charming and friendly”
The hotel was a short walk into the main square in town. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again.
“Old and good hotel”
It's a good hotel. It's next to the city center. You can walk everywhere. Its important to stay in city center.Because car park is very difficult in Brugge.
“Excellent hotel, great location”
We visited Bruges in November 2009. Its an excellent time to go as there aren't too many tourists. This hotel is located in a quiet area but its very central and takes about 10 mins to walk to the Markt. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Expedia allowed us to chose a room overlooking the garden (rather than the canal) and this was delightfully quiet. Staff were friendly, helpful and very discrete.
“Great comfort and experience”
Very comfortable - great breakfast! Agreeable staff - always helpful
“Brugge - Freezing, but we'll be back”
xWe drove over, which took no more than an hour from Calais. TomTom got us to the front door of the hotel, complete through cobbled streets. The hotel staff were expecting us, and were extremely helpful. The rooms were top notch. We went for Garden view, and glad we did. The cobbled road outside, even though generaly quiet created a lot of road noise. Hotel 9/10. Only gripes were no tea/coffee making in room, and bar was understocked. 20 Euros for brekky seemed steep, so we walked into the square which was less than half that. Only a 2 or 3 minute walk into town centre. Secure Car Park for Hotel was a 5 minute walk away and easy to find. Cost was 20 Euros per night which seems fair. We can definetely recommend the Martin's Relais Oud Huis Amsterdam hotel. Might try the Orangerie next time though... out of curiosity.
“Beautiful historic hotel”
This antique-filled hotel had great character. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is central to all the attractions in Bruges. The room was a little small but clean and comfortable.
“Best hotel I've stayed in for years!”
The hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed in. And the price was extremely affordable too. The hotel is absolutely charming and more than we expected with original decoration, a gorgeous garden in back, beautiful canal view in front, original wooden rafters and floor boards, etc. The staff were professional, helpful and fun to talk to. They pointed us in the right direction and made sure all of our needs and concerns were addressed. Should I ever visit Brugge again I will absolutely stay in this hotel again. The only complaint one may have is it's about a 20 minute walk from the train station...but when you walk through a gorgeous medieval town you lose track of time.
“Great stay, good location!”
The people who work here are extraordinarily nice, the room was great, the location was good, and the breakfast excellent.
“old world elegance”
this hotel is beautiful and comfortable and well located in Bruges on a canal. We loved it in every way and will return da hamburg
