“Luxury and Comfort without the Hiltons, Radissons etc”
We have just returned from a four day holiday in Bruges staying at the Relais Ravestein. This hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Europe. We usually always book into the normal "chain of hotels" i.e. Hilton, Radisson etc but this time on doing some research into hotels in Bruges we decided to stay in this "boutique hotel". We certainly weren't disappointed. The staff at reception were very pleasant and courteous, the room had a big WOW!! factor, with comfy beds two separate chairs flat screen tv a separate toilet with a separate bathroom/shower room area which I can only describe as being the best room with en suite facilities we have stayed in. The Jacuzzi bath was a most welcome sight at night after returning from walking for most of the day around the sights in Bruges, and the large rainfall shower made you come alive in the morning-it was superb. We ate breakfast in the hotel on the first morning and it was really nice, with freshly prepared cooked food made by a lovely lady who gave us many tips on what to do and see in Bruges. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a little bit of luxury and comfort without feeling just a number in any of the larger hotel chains
“Very friendly staff, chic hotel by the canal, not far from the center”
Excellent hotel. Highy recommendable.
“Surprise trip to Bruges”
Fantastic hotel, a 5 minute walk from the centre. The room was wonderful and a perfect surprise present for my girlfriend's birthday.
“Fabulous place to stay”
A wonderful hotel. I booked a standard room but we were upgraded to a junior suite on arrival. Room was great, bed v comfortable. Staff very friendly, good with directions and help sorting out return train times etc. We loved it and would definately stay there again if we went back to Bruges.
“Great Visit”
Overall I loved my visit. Brugge is an amazing city and I wish I would have stayed longer. The hotel was very nice, great location. It was a bit pricey, but so was everything else in the area. I would go back!
“Romantic break”
Picturesque Bruges. Lovely hotel rooms with jacuzzi bath, fabulous shower and comfy beds. Shame we had such dismal weather.
“Blissful Brugges / Bruges”
Wonderful Hotel with great customer service. Our room was fantastic on the inside. We had a junior suite which had a superbly appointed bathroom, with whirlpool bath, large shower and separate wc. The room had a separate dressing area and a zoned off lounge area with flat screen tv. Only downside was the view from the suite - it overlooked another part of the hotel building and not the canal, which it was situated on - which we would have expected for a junior suite. Located in quiet canalside location 10 mins walk from the northern edge of the Burg. Not the most central for those with walking difficulties - as all the attractions are at or south of the Burg. Reception staff speak good english and recommended excellent restaurants for dinner. Would definately stay again, despite the disappointing view. It is not you average 4* hotel.
“room”
mini bar empty, window/patio door didn't close properly.
“Nice hotel, but little expensive”
The hotel was very nice, great service, people were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, very nice bathtub!!! Two negatives: little expensive and wireless internet does not work most of the time in the rooms.
“Two star overall max”
The toilet in a separate cubicle was smelly and felt like a public toilet, the toilet roll was already nearly finished and yet it was not being replaced. The shower floor was dirty and the general condition of the mocked timber floor of the room and ensuite leaves much to be desired. One of the bath towels was torn and tattered and even the replacement ones need to be renewed too. I would rate the room in this hotel just a one star. Although the public area of the hotel feels better, it deserves just a two star rating overall. So if you are looking for a four star accommodation, look somewhere else!
