“Hotel Victoria - Fantastic”
Booked this hotel from a recommendation of a Hungarian work colleague, we turned up at 11.30pm, the staff were very helpful, very efficient and polite. The rooms were very clean, well presented and the decor was perfect. As for the view I looked out over the beautiful Danube with views of Parliament. Cannot fault anything. Excellent
“Great hotel”
Fabulous hotel. Really well located for sight seeing. View from room was the Magnificent Parliament. Stunning! Breakfast was good and service excellent. We were slightly unlucky that the hotel were Doing some painting jobs which meant we Needed to walk up the stairs after a tiring day Seeing the sights.
“Wonderful boutique hotel.”
Highly recommend this hotel with amazing views of the Budapest Parliament. Easy walk to city center from hotel. Morning breakfast was also great. Rooms very modern.

“Best Hotel in Budapest”
Our Hotel Victoria stay was a wonderful experience; we enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay an extra night. Rates are rather reasonable for a modern and quaint hotel right on the river Danube. The rooms are thoroughly modern and comfortable with big picture windows to gaze at some of Budapest's famous landmarks. The beds are very firm to the point of being uncomfortable if one likes to sleep in. A full breakfast is included with made to order omelets and a variety of other choices. The happy hour drink prices are reasonable but the selection is limited. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous with decent English speaking skills. Public transportation is very convenient and only a couple of blocks away. Overall this hotel offers great value and an ideal location to get anywhere in Budapest. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay here again.
“Highly recommended hotel”
I chose this hotel after reading the reviews on Expedia and was not disappointed. This small, family run hotel is exactly as described: perfectly located, spotlessly clean, has an amazing view, provides an ample breakfast and the English speaking staff could not be more helpful. Although the tube station is only a 5 minute walk away, we were able to visit all the main areas of the city on foot and only used public transport when we wanted to venture out of the city to visit Godollo Palace. Only one small downside, the bathroom could have done with updating, but this did not detract from the overall experience and I would definitely stay in this hotel again. I can not recommend it highly enough.
“Central, comfortable, nutritious and delicious breakfast”
Budapest Hungary is "Not a pedestrian-friendly city", "The Chain Bridge is not child-safe". We spent 10 nights at the Victoria Hotel, Bem Rakpart 11 on the Buda side of the Danube River across from the Parliament. The staff was very warm and helpful, they spoke English very well. The room was clean and comfortable with an in-room safe. The breakfast buffet was nutritious and delicious, the coffee was always hot and the eggs were made to order. There is a lap top for guest use free of charge. It is a 5 minute walk to Batthyany Ter Metro Station. The buildings in this city are absolutely beautiful, the sculptures are a wake-up to culture, the fountains are a delight, there is every possible type of art, music, drama, churches, museums and restaurants. We loved everything there except that we did not feel safe walking the streets because of the drivers. BUDA WORST: 1) Drivers do not stop at crosswalks for pedestrians. 2) On Dobrentei Ter cars started driving up on the pavement towards us to overtake other cars at our risk. 3) Some drivers stop while one went straight through the red lights. 4) On Andrassy Ut a driver came out of a parking garage, drove out onto the streets. 5) The Szechenyi Lanchid Chain Bridge need traffic lights at each side. The bridge is not child safe. 6) The Labirintus is moldy and a health hazard.
“Would return in a second!”
Beautiful location reight on the Danube River. Convenient walking to Chain Bridge and sightseeing. Restaurants nearby.
“would go back in an instant”
hotel staff very helpful - had delayed luggage and they couldn't have helped more - phoning airport etc.... They also happily guided us through the citys transport system and booked meals and trips for us without problem - saving us time so we could get on with our sightseeing. absoulutly no complaints - would go back in an instant.
“Great Budapest Boutique”
I searched for, and found, a great local boutique hotel on the Danube River, the Victoria. Just 27 rooms, great service and terrific service.
