“definitely going back”
I stayed at Marmara Hotel last weekend. The hotel is in an extremely good location, 2 minutes away from the train station and very close to the main tourist attractions. The room was clean and had a beautiful decor. Breakfast was also excellent. My only criticism would regard the main entrance door. The swing door is incredibly narrow, so beware if you intend to walk through with a large piece of baggage.
“Very Satisfied Canadian Traveller”
A great find. Excellent condition in a pleasing decor. 5 minute walk to metro or train station. Serviced by airport shuttle. Excellent breakfast service.
“Conveniently situated”
The Marmara Hotel is very conveniently situated in the Parliament area of Budapest. However, because it is so central, it was rather noisy if the bedroom window was open (which was necessary as the bedroom did get very warm). The hotel does not serve evening meals but there are plenty of restaurants close by. This modern hotel is quite impersonal and functional, but represents good value for money.
“I Have stayed at better 4* Hotels in Budapest”
Booked the Hotel for a business trip, the price was ideal for somewhere to use as a base and for sleeping and showering between meetings. However I wouldnt class it as 4* as it looked like it had seen better days. We had a room facing the internal courtyard of the hotel. the building behind looked like it was still to be renovated. Also in the room there were some stains on the carpet and there was some small damage to the wallpaper. The breakfast however was tasty but the breakfast room was very crowded and too small for the Hotel itself.
