“You get what you paid for”
Great location, not modern but clean room, very good breakfast, nice pool.
“I would choose it again”
Excellent location. nice rooms , kind employees and very satisfying breakfast.
“Great value!”
The room and amenities were exactly as it was described and portrayed in the hotel's website. Good breakfast, excellent service. Rooms were a bit run down, but otherwise very clean. The swimming pool/spa and gym on the highest floor were closed for maintenance. The hotel was located downtown along many shops and other hotels, so it was pretty convenient. Highly recommended for the price!
“A Great Honeymoon Hotel”
My wife and I stayed for one week at the Dolmen for our honeymoon in Bs. As. The staff were friendly and helpful (though some of the breakfast workers were grumpy). The hotel was clean and in good working condition. Our room was clean and comfortable although it was rather small, but not bad for a couple (big bed). There was no hot water after 3am but by the time we woke up the showers were fine. The air conditioning was working properly and the temperature of the room was very comfortable throughout our stay. The included breakfast was very good although repetitive (everyday scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, croissants, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, juices (kind of skimpy here-only orange juice and grapefruit juice), coffee, champagne (weird I know!), yogurt, and some other stuff I never ate). A slight inconvenience was that we could hear when our neighbors flushed their toilettes and we could hear voices and doors slamming in the hallway outside our rooms. Luckily, the other residents were respectful and did not make a lot of noise. The location is good-1 block away from Avenida 9 de Julio, 2 blk away from a subterraneo/subway station, 3 blk away from Plaza San Martin, 4 blk away from Avenida Florida, a walk to Obelisko. A grocery store a few blk away. The neighborhood is descent, seemed safe. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to a friend if he/she were to visit Bs. As. sometime soon. It had everything we needed at half the price of the 5 star hotels.

“STAYED HERE TWO TIMES AND WOULD DEFINATELY RETURN!”
Hotel is on a narrow street but lots of traffic and is safe. Walking distance to touristy areas and lots of restaurants. Corner store within 30 seconds from hotel for water, soft drinks, ice cream and chips. Tour pick ups were not a problem from this hotel - many tour companies came to pick up guests each morning. Friendly English speaking staff. Free Wi-Fi and free internet usage in the lobby. Breakfast was included but I did not dine at the hotel. T.V. has lots of channels including many english movie channels and American shows. Bathroom nice but tub could have been cleaner - seemed like it was stained in some parts but not gross and water pressure good. Room was large and lots of storage. Only drawback was that the carpets are heavily stained. The rest of the room is very clean and quiet - sayed on the 9th floor. Hotel is about 45 min. from airport and cost just under $40.00 CDN by taxi once way.
“nice”
Great location. Secure area. Very good and healthy breakfast. Room on the 15th and 14th floor are very noisy because of the water pump of the swimming pool on the 16th floor.
“Pleasant Surprise in BA”
Hotel Dolmen was recommended by my husband who used to stay there during business trips to Buenos Aires some 15 years ago. Although apprehensive about overall conditions of the hotel, given the fact that it is not brand new and that hotels in Buenos Aires, gerenally, tend to be quite old, I decided to go for it due it's privileged location. And I had a pleasant surprise! Although the hotel is certainly quite old, it has been beautifully maintained and probably refurbished over the years. Service is very good and staff are friendly. The rooms are of a comfortable size, with great beds and a large, well built bathroom. Breakfast is abundant, buffet style, with almost everything I personally like to eat in the morning: different types of bread, cakes, pastries, fruit, eggs, cheese and ham. Coffee, tea and juices to go with it. The only thing that could be improved is the level of noise in the rooms. Because the corridors have tiled floors and because there is communication between the corridors of all floors, it does get a bit noisy when people start coming and going to and from their rooms. Also, the carpets in the rooms could be cleaner or newer. However, after a whole day walking around Buenos Aires and being overwhelmed with so much to do, you probably won't be much bothered by either of these two problems. Overall, a very good choice to stay in central Buenos Aires, especially for shopping.
