“Clean bed good coffee”

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. It's located in Calabasas which we found to be very convenient and quite a beautiful area. It was really nice to be able to head out of the hotel room to go for a jog and enjoy lovely scenery and some nice upscale neighbourhoods. We felt very safe in this place. The hotel room had only a double bed (I thought it would be a queen) and was quite small but the TV was right in front of the bed,so that was good. I don't have cable where I am so it was a bit of a treat for me. The room was clean, and looked like it had been painted recently. I did find the bed somewhat uncomfortable. It was a regular mattress that I found to be quite thin or hard? The bed would really benefit if there was a sponge top - even one of those foam toppers would be helpful - something to give it some softness to the top of it. One note - it is beside the freeway which can be loud. I use earplugs because my spouse snores so I don't notice the sound but you might. Ask for a room near the other side. I appreciated the continental breakfast that was available. They always had hot coffee available - this was great! And the coffee was good too. Small muffins were also usually available in a few varieites - always fresh too. Overall, a pleasant stay - and very inexpensive (I'd say how much but Expedia doesn't allow rates in reviews) - it was a true bargain. I can easily recommend this hotel - it was clean, had good coffee and muffins, and a great location.

“i keep coming back”

I've turned into a 'frequent flyer' here and will probably be relocating to the area next year. In the meantime, work in LA job brings me here on a regular basis and I appreciate a clean place to shower, sleep between shifts. Evidentally so do others as the people who stay here all seem to be working in the area. It is a quiet location, rooms clean, reasonable pricing, no fancy things I will not use, no charge for parking, location has places to eat and grocery store nearby. Fridge in room would be nice but not worth extra cost so I can live with it. All in all , this stop is great for a nite or two of rest but if you are looking for a resort, look elsewhere. Internet is extra, but starbucks is steps away if that is an issue...If you are looking for clean place that is quiet so you can sleep, it's great. Thanks to the management for keeping a workable spot to rest and doing their best to keep clientele happy. I will keep coming back ...until I finally relocate.

“Great Deal”

Cheapest hotel in the area by far. Turned out to be a great deal. Nothing special, but clean and relatively comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly.

For a no frills hotel, I couldn't have been more satisfied. Clean, nonsmelling, helpful, awesome location to everything. Grocery, starbucks, restaurants right across the street, and next door.

“Good family Hotel”

I was really surprised at the quality of the hotel, considering the price. It wasn't exactly overflowing with luxury, but it was exceptionally clean and well maintained. There was plenty of parking and at night, my room was quiet and peaceful. Definetely recommended. The only problem is that it's a good 30-45 minute drive from downtown LA.

Nice, friendly staff. Easy in and out location, close to freeway and Malibu beach. Comfortable rooms. Great value.

Almost always a satisfactory stay, this last stay was great. Staff was wonderful, accomodating. Room quiet and clean, fine for comfort, no frills I don't use. Need clean bed and clean bath. This was one of the more quiet places I have stayed as a day sleeper between working graveyard shifts. People were nice enough to place my room in a non foot-traffic area and very appreciated. Bit of a drive into LA but totally worth it to get out of the city and have some peace and quiet. Seems everyone staying here is working in area and simply needs a place to sleep so feels secure and no nonsense. Recommend for anyone not needing/paying for extraneous resort aminities. I will be back.

“Good hotel for the price”

The only drawback of this hotel is that the highway noise is pretty close. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay for the price, and very convenient as it is so close to the freeway and stores/coffee, etc. is so close!
