“Nice hotel... good service”
I had originally checked into the other Travellodge on Macleod Trail (on 75th Ave or so)... that was a bit of a disaster...not sure how they get any guests at all... the front desk guy was REALLY grouchy... This hotel was great though... friendly staff and a nice place. I'd recommend this hotel anytime !
“Great Service”
The location of the hotel is very convenient lots of stores and places to eat in walking distance, customer service was awesome
“Cheap and cheerful”
A one night stay for 2 people, the hotel itself is obviously getting on a bit, but it's reasonably maintained, the pool was out of action for maintenance, so I don't know if its still not in use. The 'gym' is not really for people that want a serious workout, its a tiny room with a few pieces of cardio equipment, if you want to weight train, go elsewhere. However, this hotel really isnt for that purpose. Our room, although a little on the small side, and the bathroom like a cupboard, served our needs completely. The decor and fixtures may be a little dated, but its clean, the bed was fine, and the hotel doesnt pretend to be what it isnt. For the price I was charged, it really is not bad at all.
“The people were great and the room was very comfortable. Close to many good resturants.”
The people were great and the room was very comfortable. Close to many good resturants. Although the hotel was not the newest or newly renovated, the room was clean, everything worked and the staff were totally helpful. I would recommend this hotel for the cost, location and friendliness. I never made it to the pool or hot tub, but both looked lovely.
“Older hotel with great staff & location”
I stayed at this hotel for a total of 18 days in the last month & a half. Front desk staff is great, very accommodating in granting any special requests you might have. Rooms are older but comfortable enough and the maids do a good job keeping them clean. Continental breakfast has decent selection with very pleasant girls who take care of the area, they recognize you after the first day and chat & make you feel welcome. Pool & gym are small but clean, couldn't ask for more. Great location. Will be back for a 3 week stay in June.
“Very reasonable”
This is the second time in the last few weeks I have stayed at this hotel. Stayed two nights this time. The hotel is starting to show its age a bit but is still agreat value. If all you are looking for is a bed at a reasonable proce this is the place. The staff were just fine. the room itself is more than adequate with a single queen bed, a desk with free internet (which is way faster than either at my office or at home) and a TV. I spent an afternoon working at the dek and it was actually quite enjoyable. Breakfast is fine (as good or better than I would have at home). I would definitely stay again.
“Good value for money”
Hotel is rundown, but it's cheap, comfortable and safe. Good mattress, clean room and fairly quiet given proximity to McLeod Trail. Everything worked. Good quality Wi-Fi, better than average complimentary breakfast. The carpet was ugly, but the price was good. Would stay there again.
“great price and good location”
I went on a business / vacation trip with my wife and the hotel had a hot tub, was situated in a good location for getting to and from where we wanted to go. It was clean, had a comedy club downstairs for evening amusement , plenty of parking and the bed was decently comfortable. For the price, definitely didn't have any real complaints, though I was hoping for at least some weights in their fitness room as all they had was a stationary bike and an elliptical machine. We also had no issues with the staff as they were fairly prompt and friendly.
“a nice affordable hotel for travellers”
at the price, what I can say? by the way, book through expedia is cheaper than through the front desk.
“Highly recommended as a Calgary place to say”
Ideal location on McLeod Trail. You have a variety of restaurants to choose from close by. I did not try the continental breakfast that was provided. My room was great, it was quiet and clean. The price was reasonable in fact much cheaper than what you would pay in an area of Calgary called hotel village. I enjoyed the easy access from Blackfoot Trail. I found it convenient concerning the Airport.
