Recreation
The majority of recreational facilities and activities described below are included in the room rate for this resort (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information).
Dreams Cancún Resort's main beach extends 200 meters (219 yards) along a bay west of Cancún Island's northernmost point called Punta Cancún. Here the water remains calm in most weather, offers snorkeling opportunities, and features a large offshore trampoline raft. Overlooking the beach is a 15-person spa tub.
Another beach, measuring 68.5 meters (75 yards), faces the open sea east of the point. Beaches are furnished with padded lounge chairs and thatched-roof palapas. Swimming is also available in the resort's placid saltwater lagoon, which measures roughly 68.5-by-68.5 meters (75-by-75 yards) and laps against the resort's pyramid wing on one side and a beach with lounge chairs on the other.
Fresh-water swimming options comprise an irregularly shaped 30.5-meter-long (100-ft) heated pool adjacent to the lagoon and a 16.5-meter-long (18-yard) freeform pool outside the resort's tower near the open-sea beach. Both pools are bordered by umbrellas and thickly cushioned teak lounge chairs.
As part of the All-Inclusive Plan, guests are permitted to use kayaks, snorkeling gear, and Hobie Cat sailboats off the calm-water beach and AquaTrikes in the lagoon. For surcharges, an independent operator at the resort offers personal watercraft, water skiing, banana-boating, snorkeling excursions, and scuba diving instruction and excursions.
A paved jogging/strolling path extends through a green lawn along the pyramid wing's sea-facing side, offering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea rolling against Punta Cancún. Along the path is a ruin of a Mayan shrine that is 500-800 years old. The path also passes a rocky point on whose tip rises a red-and-white-striped column topped by a marine-navigation light. A suspended rope aids guests walking to the light.
Other complimentary recreational facilities include a bungee-cord trampoline and a lighted tennis court. Yoga classes are offered on the lagoon beach. The 18-hole Pok-Ta-Pok Golf Club is two km (1.25 miles) from the resort, and the 18-hole Hilton golf course is 7.5 km (4.75 miles).
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the resort; fees may apply.

“best vacation ever”
It was the best place i have stayed at.in cancun.I have been 9 times and this was the best place ever. I would recommend this resort for anyone staying in cancun. The beaches were awsome with calm water on one side and waves on the other with the cliffs and the light house in between it was really great
“fun at the Dreams Hotel”
We had a great time at this hotel. We partook of the exercise classes and had a great time with lots of laughter. The entire recreation staff provided us with fun and laughter.
“Family Fun Reunion”
Beautiful Hotel with white sandy beach. Rooms very comfortable with beverage stocked frig/coffee maker . Excellent restaurant choices of foods. Buffet style as well for all day eating. American food for Grandkids. Abundant choices of drinks. In pool handy bar. All day Activity Program.
“Very Nice Hotel”
Great food, good service and clean.
“Great for families”
Very nice beaches, very good service. The pool is not great but good enough. They also have a very well run kids club.
“Worth every penny!”
As soon as we arrived, the bellman took our bags, brought us champagne, water and cookies. Then the receptionist upgraded us to dolphins ocean view from standard lagoon view room.Food and drinks are GREAT, they have premiums liquor. We ate at all restaurants, had New York steak, ribeyes, salmom, everything on the memu was great, especially at Oceana and Seaside Grill. World cafeis a buffet style, we regreted to have one of our 5 dinners there, compare to freshly cooked for you on the other 3 restaurants. The most impressed me was,the waiter would observe and wait till you are done with your appretizer and soup before bringing out your entree, everyone encourage you drink. The other side of the hotel is quiet romantic with waves crashing the cliff, massage hut and lighthouse. Explore kids club is great but since we are adults, we went to do excursions. Really liked the waverunner/snorkel tour,$65/person if you ride double. It was low season, so it was only the guide and us, we get to go full speed. Mayan adventure was good too but little too expensive, we paid $109/person. Hotel room also provide 4oz bottle for decent quality shower gel/shampoo/lotion and even 15spf sunscreen lotion! Bed/pillow/comfortor are very comfortable. All staff work so hard to make you are happy. Live music at the lobby every night till 10:30, they also have small show in the ballroom every night at 8:30pm. Hotel is within walking distance to clubs/bars.Overall, we are VERY pleased with everything.
“Very enjoyable”
My husband and I took our 12 year old son. It was great. Staff was very nice and helpful. Food was very good and many choices. Didn't have to make reservations. Lots going on at all times, but room was quiet. Upgrade to oceanview if you can. Staff of kid's club was great. Don't think we could have found a better all-inclusive in Cancun proper, especially for families or young adults who like activities and entertainment. We rented car and parking was free and very accessible. Would go to Dreams again.
“Wonderful week”
This was our second stay at this hotel and it was as wonderful as we remembered from check-in to check-out. The staff are superb, great food and drinks and great beaches!
“A Dream Honeymoon”
Our room, a Jr. Club Jacuzzi Suite, was beautiful. The wait staff were super friendly and helpful. Virtually everything was included in the price. The beaches are gorgeous and shopping/night life is a 5 minute walk away. We will return.
“Absolute Best Mexico Experience”
Don't waste your time researching other resorts or hotels. Take our word that you will receive the absolute best customer service, food and entertainment at Dreams Resort and Spa in Cancun.
