“Great Resort”
Isla Mujeres Palace is a great spot for couples. It is one of the smaller Palace Resorts and is very secluded. If you are looking for a resort with lots of activities and scheduled events this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a quite relaxing vacation with very little interuptions this place is perfect. As other reviewers have said there is a loud resort next door but it very rarely was a problem. The food was good but limited selection due to the size of the resort. The only issue I had was you have to time your flights with the Ferry Schedule. The Ferry stops running from 1:00 am to 5:30 am so if you have a flight that gets you in late or a flight leaving that takes off early you might have a problem.
“Isla Mujeres Palace Was Top Notch!!!”
My wife and I went to Isla Mujeres Palace for our honeymoon last week. It was the greatest vacationing experience of our lives. The Isla Mujeres Palace resort was amazing. Very small and private with only 60 rooms or so. Couples only, so no screaming kids. Room service could be had every morning if desired with many options. All included. The rooms were very cozy and clean. King size bed, jacuzzi tub, stocked fridge with beer and soda. Roll out liquor bottles. All included. Food was top notch. Rosa greeted us every morning and afternoon with a smile and took us to our tables. Buffet breakfast and lunches. Dinner was 4 course and many options, which rotated every day. Arturo was the greatest waiter, and knew our drink of choice by day 2 and kept them coming. Pool area was where we went every day to enjoy the weather and the swim up bar. Jesus the bartender became our friend very early. Great guy with great jokes and excellent drinks. And every night they had night time activities such as bingo and wii bowling tournaments. All this organized by Leo, the activites organizer and comedian. The staff at this resort made the experience that much more enjoyable. We stayed for 7 days and already miss this place and the staff. It was a truly an excellent experience and we can't wait to go back. We will not consider another place to stay in or around Cancun. Isla Mujeres Palace will be our home in the Caribbean from now on.
“Our second stay here, and still our favorite place”
This was our second trip here. We went for our honeymoon in 2010 and then last week for one last romantic, relaxing vacation before starting a family. We looked everywhere because we wanted to travel more and see a different place, but after looking at all-inclusives everywhere, we kept comparing every place to Isla. I'm so happy we chose it again. It takes a bit of traveling to get to for us (two flights, shuttle to the marina, ferry to the island, taxi to the resort), but it's so worth it. And the sea ferry ride is one of my favorite parts! The trip over is just gorgeous. I felt completely safe at all times. The resort is open air and the only thing enclosed are the guest rooms. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly! We went with the ocean view concierge level and it's definitely worth the upgrade!! It's adults only and so peaceful! There aren't a ton of activities at the resort itself (they do have kayaks, paddle boats, snorkeling), but we wanted to get away from work and just relax so it was perfect. Our first trip we did the dolphin swim on the island and it was great - in a huge fenced in part of ocean, not a tiny pool. The pool and its swim up bar are wonderful!! The only downside is the beach - a lot of sea weed, but you can still swim some and laying on the beach under the tiki huts is perfect. The beds are comfortable, the shower and jacuzzi are amazing. Tips: Sit up top on the ferry ride over, order a welcome drink with coconut rum, and tip the staff.
“Wonderul Getaway”
Great getaway in a quiet hotel perfect for couples. Rooms are amazing, spring for the ocean side view. Great food, fun activities, awesome beach and pool. You won't regret your trip here. FYI if you contact the hotel they will help with transport from the airport, you take two taxis and a ferry, ferry ride is gorgeous.
“Great hotel for peace and quiet.”
The staff at this hotel do bend over back words to help you in every way. They also keep track of the people you are with and if one is not with your group they check up on them to make sure they are alright.
“Heaven-Pure Heaven”
I will keep this short and sweet! This place is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Awesome Honeymoon”
This was a beautiful place for our honeymoon. Relaxing resort. Had small activities daily that were fun. (Learned Salsa one night, played blackjack, other nightly activities as well as day activities). The resort gets very quiet after dinner time. Wonderful spa available. Great food!! This is a place if you want a quiet get-a-way. If you go here, be sure to rent a golf cart for 24 hours to explore the island! That was a great recommendation from the staff there!
“I'd can't wait to return!”
I was VERY pleased with our stay. EVERYONE was extremely nice to me and my family. The staff went out of their way to assure our satisfaction. Although I read in the reviews that there weren't too many child activities, we went ahead and booked. It was a small, quiet resort, exactly what we were looking for. My daughter was treated like royalty and she had a blast! Ulisses had a variety of activities that we can participate in as a family; Pool volleyball, kareoke, bingo, and movie night. We had fun. The beach was not the best but Playa Norte was about 10 minutes away. Beautiful, soft sandy, water! Great shopping by the beach too. The pool at the resort is large and roomy. If you are looking to get away for some quiet relaxing time, then this is the place to stay.
“Excellent family vacation!!!!!”
Resort was excellent as expected. All of the staff will wait hand and foot over you. Very quiet resort which was fine with us. There is only one restaurant but the food is somewhat varied and quite good for an all inclusive. The beach isn't the greatest (seaweed and rocky), but the water is very calm for swimming or snorkeling. Overall, I would give this resort 4 1/2 stars. I would definitely go back again.
“Very quiet and lovely”
This hotel is lovely! Right on the beach, spacious and airy. This hotel is quiet and comfortable. Took my husband and 7yr. old...we shared the pool and the beach with maybe 5 other couples. Beach is beautiful, white and fluffy...all the resorts block of a section of the water for swimming and kayaking and it is a tiny space...the water is super shallow, though of course perfect for my son, but I ended up floating more then walking, as it goes to about your knees and in some areas your neck. The ocean is warm and really really lovely. Very easy resort. Food was good, room was clean and lovely.
