In the event that a hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort while guests are at the resort, the hotel will provide a certificate for a return stay to the original resort for the number of original nights. A certificate will be offered if the U.S. National Weather Center issues a Category One Hurricane warning or higher to the area and the hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort. The certificate is nontransferable and not redeemable for cash. Space is subject to availability and blackout periods apply. The policy excludes day of departure. Kids Free Summer 2012 Promotion

Book a stay now - August 27, 2012 for travel June 1 - August 31, 2012 and children ages 12 and stay, play, and eat free.

The resort offers 2,433 guestrooms in 16 three-story hacienda-style buildings divided between two sides (Sunrise, Nizuc and golf suites by the golf course) that include nearly identical facilities and amenities. Rooms feature balconies or enclosed ground-floor terraces furnished with chairs and hammocks that provide views of gardens or the Caribbean Sea. Bathrooms contain two-person walk-in showers and two-person jetted tubs. Liquor dispensers hold rum, brandy, Scotch, and tequila. Minibars contain bottled water, beer, and soft drinks.

The Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort is set along 1 km (0.75 mi) of beach, where lounge chairs offer sunbathing comfort and thatched-roof palapas provide shade. Each of the resort's two sides (Sunrise and Nizuc) includes an immense lagoon-style swimming pool measuring more than 200 meters (219 yards) wide that includes shallow areas for lounge chairs, jetted sections, and swim-up bars. Surrounding sundecks include palapas and toddlers' pools.

Use of kayaks, windsurfers, and Hobie Cat sailboats are part of the All-Inclusive Plan. Independent operators on the beach rent Jet Skis and offer parasailing and scuba diving and snorkeling excursions for surcharges.

Use of a championship-grade miniature golf course, six lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, and bicycles is part of the All-Inclusive Plan. Also complimentary are step aerobics, salsa aerobics, abs, firm-butt, and body-sculpting in the resort's two fitness centers and yoga classes in a meditation garden. Aerobics are offered in both of the resort's pools. A climbing tower is also on site.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the championship course at the the Moon Spa & Golf Club winds through mangrove forests. Amenities include a driving range, pro shop, and snack and beverage carts. Play on the golf course and use of facilities is not part of the All-Inclusive Plan but must be paid for separately. Golf carts are equipped with a GPS system. Greens fees include use of a cart. Clubs and shoes are available for rent. Instruction can be arranged for surcharges. The club also features an outdoor pool, two restaurants, and a bar.

“Great Stay at Moon Palace!”

“Nice attention and great facilities”

A grear experience with so many kind attention and great facilities for family groups as it was my case. My little baby of 17 months had a great time there as well. Just wrapping up: great food, clean, beautiful views and pristine rooms, facilities, lobbies, many activities, and in general a nice stay there. For sure, I will be back soon.

“Moon Palace paradise”

Our only "glitch" was when we first arrived, we were assigned a room that was already occupied. However, the staff immediately fixed the problem and took us to the correct room. The rest of our stay was impeccable. We stayed on the Nizuc side of the resort and all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants to choose from and the wait staff overall were very attentive. We had a great time every day at the pool bar with Victor...he is a FABULOUS bartender...very friendly and tons of fun. The pool areas are huge and so spread out that you really don't get that feeling of being crowded while sunning and swimming. The pool and beach areas are very well kept, with plenty of lounging areas. Although we didn't partake in any tours or water activities, the opportunities are plentiful. All in all, a wonderful stay.

“only use the hotel tour guides”

We Had a great experience. My only suggestion is that when you book the tours and excursions I would do it though the hotel staff. We use a onsite rep from traffic tours. He sent us on a jungle tour that we were not able to go on because my wife is pregnant which he knew she was and his excuse was he forgot. we went on the trip to chitzanetza that was great. on the last day I was supposed to go on a dive trip which was canceled and no one told us so I planned my day around that. we were there 3 full days and 2 of them he that he booked for us were wasted. Then we had to track him down to get a refund which we had to sit in front of him for a half hour while he was on the phone trying to figure out what happened... we got comped one jet ski ride for a half hour which my wife couldn’t do...

“Pampered at the Moon Palace”

This is a fantastic, huge resort. Wonderful restaurant choices, with no need for reservations, which is SO nice. The staff takes superb care of everyone and goes the extra mile to make you feel pampered. We stayed in the Nezuc section with an ocean view. Room was very comfortable & we loved the hot tub in the room. The resort is so big that it takes a few days to figure out where everything is. Most of the shows were at the Sunrise section. The beach is nice in front of the Grand section. There's a free bus from the Moon Palace to the Beach Palace & Sun Palace. The Beach Palace is great to visit with 2 pools & hot tubs on the roof, not to mention great views. You are paying a bit more than some of the all-inclusives, but everything is top-notch.

“Review if you have kids”

Great service, great place to go with kids. Kids loved the kid club. Great food and entertainment. We have gone three years in a row. I would suggest if you have teensgers, Sunrise is the best one with lots to do. If you have small kids Nizuk is good. The spa is really nice. If you are looking for adventure with teens, book the aqua twister tour. It is truly an all inclusive resort. Be aware, their are people that try to sell you timeshares.if you decide you want info, expect it to take 3 hours. Also, don't expect to swim at beach. If you want to swim at beach they will shuttle you to other moon palaces which are better to swim.

“Villarreal Cancun Holiday”

Every day was packed with activities that the hotel organized for maximum enjoyment of the whole experience by all family members. Depending on your mood, there was volleyball on the beach, dance-off in the lobby, karaoke at night, face painting for kids, shows at the Sunrise part of Moon Palace, etc. The meals were excellent and Nizuc had four eateries from which to choose. All of the excursions were incredible and provided amazing experiences and memories for the whole family. The staff was friendly, accomodating, and very adept at communicating in English.

“Felt Like Royalty”

I CAN'T BELIVE HOW THE STAFF TREATED YOU. I HAVE NEVER HAD THE TREATMENT OF ROYALTY FROM A RESORT. EVERYONE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON THEIR FACE. I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY. FROM THE SERVICE TO THE FOOD EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. THEY HAVE GREAT MIX DRINKS! EVERY DAY THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT HOUSE DRINK THAT WAS AWSOME! NIGHT TIME ENTERTAINMENT WAS GREAT ALSO. EVERY NIGHT WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THE WHOLE PLACE WAS VERY CLEAN. EVEN THE BEACH. THEY HAD STAFF ROUND THE CLOCK DOING WHAT EVER NEEDED TO BE DONE TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE HAPPY AND SATISFIED. ALSO I LIKE HOW IT IS BY ITSELF AND NOT MIXED IN WITH OTHER HOTELS. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS RESORT AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE TRAVELING BY THEIR SELF OR WITH CHILDREN. THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE.

“MOST EXCELLENT SERVICE! ALREADY PLANNING A TRIP BACK TO MOON PALACE!!”

Everything was perfect!! The service at the Moon Palace is excellent!! Everyone is so friendly and there to help. The rooms are beautiful complete with a mini bar that have 4 bottles of liquor: tequila, whiskey, rum and vodka and they keep your refridgerator stocked daily with juices, soda, beer and bottled water. Everthing is so perfect! The pool is huge and the swim up bar is great..the restaraunts are ALL awesome and there is such variety. You can take a shuttle to the different lobbies and different palace resorts which was also neat. We went for a wedding and everything was so beautiful...the staff at Moon Palace are so polite, helpful and friendly- we laughed and joked with them as if they were family. I am so happy I chose Moon Palace and i will definetly be back again, i'm already planning my trip back!!!
