“Weekend Break.”
Breakfast was very good as usual, our third stay here and is top value. Only gripe was the tv in our room needed retuning, will stay here again.
“Expensive but good.”
The breakfast was O.K. but nothing special. Normal and typical breakfast food. Complained about the croissants, cold soggy and yesterday's fare! Fried eggs were overcooked and hard. The evening meal steak was excellent and perfectly cooked to my liking and can be recommended. Would like to go there again but only with a discounted deal.
“Village Cheadle”
My stay at the Village Cheadle was quite enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pub had a nice atmosphere - the food was good and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again, and would be likely to try a hotel belonging to this chain when in another part of England. The full service fitness center equiped with a gym and swimming pool was a bonus.
“Perfect stay”
Perfect Stay , perfect Staff perfect Room's .
“Great Deal”
You cannot get a better deal for the price. The rooms are not exactly welcoming with their colour scheme and give the appearance of pristine brightness. We spent a few days there and even in the wintery conditions the rooms were warm. I would not be too happy with the room during warmer months as there was no a/c. However a table top fan was available for use. The breakfast buffet which was included was good and another freebie was the internet. The downside: the tub was very deep and in a few years I will not be able to get in or out of it with the high sides. The lack of face cloths was a pain but for the price and location who cares! I wish we had been at one of The Villages that had a Starbucks on site, as the coffee with the breakfast was great on two mornings and not too nice on the palate on the third day. If you do leave your window(s) open, remember that if the wind is in the right/wrong direction, you are on the flight path into Manchester Airport, but with the windows closed, the noise is negligible. I did not use the fitness facilities but they are available. There is ample parking even with all the Christmas parties that were going on at the time of our visit.
“Looking to go back very soon!”
We travelled via public transport to the Hotel and got off in Cheadle Village and walked down (although there are bus stops right outside the hotel that go to Stockport very frequently). The walk is really nice and lined with parks and gardens all the way. We were expecting to walk further to get to the hotel, and found it extremely well placed. The complex itself is beautiful; modern, sofisticated and welcoming. It compensates for all with leisure and health facilities, restaurants for dining and a pub for relaxing and socialising, as well as buiness and meeting suites for those who require them. The room was marvelous! A king sized bed, sofa, huge plasma TV and en-suite. Perhaps one of the most comfy beds I have slept in. There were spare pillows and blankets in the wardrobe, with iron and ironing board, should we have needed them; and all the facilities we could have asked for. We called the front desk on a couple of occassions and the staff were delighted to help us. We ate in both the restaurant and the pub, both were very big, very filling meals. The meals were gorgeous. We had to wait a tad longer than anticipated in the restaurant for the meals to arrive, although this was due to a mishap in the kitchen and we were given the drinks for free in return. The menu's for both the restaurant and the pub were extensive and there was something for everyone. My only word of warning is order small ... the meals are massive! The prices suit the quantity you receive. Brilliant!
“Happy from Oz”
Stayed as a family of 4 for 2 nights on return to the UK from Oz. Wouldn't have wanted to stay longer as were quite cramped in the room with double sofa bed but was fine for our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Got a free early check in and breakfast was lovely. The hotel had the potential to be very noisy after hours as does a lot of wedding parties, but we seemed to be in the back quater which was quieter.
“clean and tidy”
very clean , friendly staff and good facilities . Central location for manchester airport and stockport / manchester city centre . Rooms a little tatty , in need of a little re-decorating but generally comfortable . Be aware of plane noise from the Airport .
“Manchester Airport hotel”
Large hotel with great leisure amenities. Close to Manchester Airport ...but confusing to get there with a car...front desk staff could not give me directions!
“Good value for money though a few "buts"”
We were very impressed with what the hotel has to offer: 25m pool, sauna, steam room, squash courts, gym, pub, restaurant and even a Starbuck's cafe. (Sport facilities are available to guests at no extra costs). The hotel is pleasant enough but right in the flight path of Man airport so not ideal if one is looking for a quiet retreat. Also, the internal walls seem to be made from papermache (why does anyone decide to build a hotel in that way?!!) so again, no guarantee for an undisturbed night. The restaurant is pleasant enough though could do with a makover and don't expect top notch food. Also, we were not impressed with the service. We had to wait too long for our drinks and desserts. The staff are friendly and try hard but it appears that the organisation lets it down
