“Can't wait to go back”
The hotel was beautiful, everything I could have hoped for, basically a Welsh castle with modern amenities. Old and new blended together for a delightful stay. The food was simple but good..The reception people could not have been nicer.
“Wonderful staff made it a pleasure to stay there”
Excellent, well run hotel. Only quibble we had was the pool was quite small and always packed with members who belong to the hotel's health club. Other small quibble was the wine list was fairly poor. Other than that, everything was absolutely A1.
“Lovely hotel, great facilities”
Stopped at the St Pierre for 1 night on our way up to Wales. Wished we had booked another night! Our room was lovely, the children had their own room and we had a four poster. The pool was great and even though the summer hols it wasn't to busy. Would definatley go back.
“Excellent stay”
Excellent stay - staff are very helpful. The hotel has lots of history with a church from 1066. Golf is a must here with great countryside view.
“Because shes worth it”
Lovely room looking over the courtyard so was ideal for our romantic stay....we're not golfers so were obviously outnumbered by golfing fanatics as this is a golfing hotel but this was fine...Breakfast excellent, they even laid on excellent weather for us. Just wished had more time to enjoy the facilities. Chepstow was lively sat nite , 8 quid in taxi, Limited Restraunts thou but still pleasing.
“St Pierre”
This hotel was all we expected it to be for what we were paying. The situation was fine,especially if you like the contrived layout of golf courses. It was foggy so the view was limited. The room was freezing when we arrived an a long walk from reception. However, the bed was wonderfully comfortable and there was little or no noise to disturb us overnight. Breakfast was, at best, ok. it was the usual hot buffet of bacon, sausages, etc. but the fried eggs had been kept warm for too long and looked if they would bounce if dropped. I asked for a single poached egg which arrived as i finished the rest of my breakfast and was in fact 2 eggs on 2 slices of toast! I had specifically declined 2 eggs... Otherwise service was great.
“Great weekend”
Had a fantastic time here with my partner. The area is very quiet and is suitable for a relaxing weekend. The staff are all very attentive and friendly.
“Good if you're a golfer”
A great hotel if you're a golfer, I suppose, but nothing special otherwise. A good breakfast. Nice looking building, but we stayed in a sterile modern annex whic lacked all the character of the main building.
