Property Amenities
Along with its appealing contemporary design, the Amalfi Chicago's location in River North may be its greatest asset. Both the theater district and the Magnificent Mile lie within two blocks. River North itself is a lively district, home to many new restaurants, nightclubs, and art galleries. Concierges, known as "experience designers," are on hand to help guests plan itineraries.
The hotel occupies floors 2-6 of a multi-use building, with an intimate lobby providing street-level access, and a sixth floor "living room" lounge, Ravello, the location of choice for informal socializing. The lounge does not serve cocktails except during the nightly manager's reception, which runs from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM nightly, but Keefer's, a steakhouse in the same building, offers full bar service as well as fine dining.
The hotel serves a complimentary continental breakfast daily and hosts complimentary receptions during early evenings. Guests can access the 24-hour business center and arrange use of any of the 4 meeting/conference rooms.
Valet parking is available (surcharge).
Rooms
All of the Amalfi's 215 guestrooms offer city views, along with 315-thread-count Egyptian linens and pillowtop mattresses. Rooms sport a colorful Mediterranean palette that enhances modern furniture and finishes.
Concierges provide complimentary access to an expansive collection of DVDs. Guestrooms have clock radios with iPod docks, CD libraries, and CD and DVD players. 32-inch LCD HDTVs provide premium channels and pay movies. Large, 19-inch in-room safes accommodate laptops.
Bathrooms feature multihead showers, marble countertops, and Aveda bath products. Guests are also provided with signature hotel bathrobes.

A complimentary Continental breakfast with croissants, muffins, fruits, juices, tea, and coffee is provided each morning. A complimentary manager's reception with cocktails and hors d'oevres is offered every evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Keefer's - Steak and seafood restaurant. Open for lunch and dinner.
Recreation
The hotel's fitness center, open 24 hours, has treadmills, free weights, stair machines, and exercise bikes.
Guests may use the fitness center across the street at a discounted rate. City tours by boat embark from a landing on the Chicago River, 2 blocks away (seasonal). Lake Michigan, less than 2 miles away, offers running trails, canoeing, and sailing (seasonal).

“Great hotel”

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast and loved the happy hour idea! Can't wait to be back.
“No complaints! Perfect.”
Impressive from the moment we walked thru the entrance, we were greeted with smiles and promptly checked into our room. The staff could not have been more courteous over the course of our two night stay. Once in our room I noticed everything was perfect, the layout was perfect, our view of the city ideal, the cleanliness of the room was top notch, the bed was unbelieveably comfortable and the dual head shower was one of the best in recent hotel stays in Chicago. The overall experience was perfect, I will be back, for sure.

The staff was wonderful. It felt like they all wanted to help us have a wonderful stay in Chicago. Loved the!!. exercise room was clean and nice. Even my dancer daughter loved the mirror and "dance floor"
“Good times”
I chose the hotel based on memory of a previous experience I'd had there. I remembered enjoying my stay very much. Still true! The staff is friendly and helpful in a laid-back manner, which I appreciated. The decor is fun. The location is convenient--really close to anything you'd want to do in Downtown Chicago.
“Ladies weekend”
I stayed with 3 friends for a "ladies weekend". The location was terrific, the staff was friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved the evening appetizers and drinks. Wow! Nice, simple morning breakfast, conveniently located on each floor. I would definitely stay bere again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. It was nice to start the day off with a light breakfast and end the afternoon with a few cocktails to relax. Central location to all activities that we wanted to see and do. We'll be returning!
“Great experience.”
My stay at the Amalfi Hotel was a great experience. . The location is ideal, within walking distance of quite a few destination restaurants- a few minutes walk to the magnificent mile. The front desk and staff was extremely friendy and polite and more importantly, helpful and knowledgeable about the city.... The FREE happy hour had 2 very friendly bartenders and which features an excellent antipasto bar and a variety of beers, hard liquor, mixed drink and wines. The Free complimentary breakfast is also quite nice, since it is set up on each floor.

Very nice stay. Everyone was extremely helpful, clean room. The Aveda bath products are worth it alone!
“great hotel in a good location”
very comfortable...pleasant staff.....evening cocktail hour was great....the morning breakfast was good too...although if you get there and there isn't much of a selection left, wait and come back later as it will be replenished. Lots of restaurants in the area.
