“Great hotel in the perfect location”
This hotel was great especially at the expedia rate. Right across the Chicago river from Trump Tower and 1 block from the magnificent mile. The 'L' is 1 block away. It is also a short walk to Millennium park. The room was large and comfortable. Had a fantastic view of the river.

Fabulous hotel on the river... rooms are very comfortable and hotel staff superb! The hotel has a cafe with fantastic food in a cozy environment. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return

This is a nice hotel, very good location. Our room had a great view of the river and the Wrigley building. The people there were very pleasant and helpful.

We have been to Chicago several times, it being one of our favorite US destination cities so have stayed at different hotels. We chose Hotel 71 as an Expedia Pick and for the price. Were we ever impressed! Upon arrival, the desk clerk immediately upgraded our room to a river view which was spectacular. We travelled with our 2 kids and the room had ample space. We also used the fitness room quite a bit and were able to work out while overlooking the Chicago skyline and river. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel is also conveniently located to the train/subway lines, shopping, theatre district and Michigan. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit!

“Wonderful place to stay - great for shopping”
I brought my mother to Chicago for our annual Christmas shopping trip. This hotel was wonderful. We arrived early, and they did not have our room ready so they gave us a free upgrade to a River View. The view was gorgeous. The location was great, and we were able to shop for several hours, bring bags back to the room, and go back for more shopping. The front desk, lobby, valet and maid service were all very friendly. We did not have washcloths and had to request them from the front desk. They had them up to us in less than 10 minutes. I was concerned about the elevators after reading the other reviews, but we had no problem. We can't wait to come back next year!!!

Nice hotel, helpful staff, wonderful location, and an amazing view.
“Hotel 71 Very Impressive - Will stay again!”
We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms over looking the river. Location, room views, and staff were excellent. Within walking distance of Merchandise Mart, Sears Tower and other fine places to dine (Bella Bacino's is just two doors down-highly recommended). The only negative thing to share was the slow elevators.
