“great hotel for a great price”
The hotel is really great. It's near to local attractions, and with its price, this hotel is really a bargain. A bit noisy but not much to complain there. If you're looking for a hotel that fits the budget, close to attractions that would save transportation costs, free Internet access, this is the hotel.
“Most of what I needed”
An overnight business stay and the room was clean and well-prepared. The hotel had a feeling of history through the hallways, elevators and (tight) room size. The lobby internet connection led to a quick resolve for my local directions, but I was not able to print my results. Even in that moment a queue formed for it's use.
“good”
the location is good, the only weakness is that when i first entered the room, there was a paper on the table which is left by housekeeper
“i'd stay there again!”

“Austin Doubletree University”
Overall I had the best stay in the Doubletree near I-35. The room was very clean and the service was wonderful eventhough there were a lot of people staying there due to a convention and other things.
“Best deal in town”
Excellent hotel staff on top of everything. This is an old hotel, with an iron burn on the carpet (who does that when there is an ironing board in the room?). Extremely clean and close to everything. I will stay here again.
“Can't wait to go back”
We loved the hotel. It was very convenient to the down town area and tourist attractions. The room was spacious and we particularly enjoyed the microwave and refridgerator. The beds were very comfortable. The front desk employees were courteous and helpful especially Eduardo and an older gentleman who worked the morning shift. Cafeteria was very nice and the chef and server very pleasant. All in all a great stay and we liked the bag service so that we could check out but leave our bags there for the day.
“Great price, great location, noisy train”
Older building, very well kept, very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and blues clubs. Centrally located, 1/2 hour walk to almost any point of interest in downtown. BUT the E train runs past about 200 ft from the NW corner of the building. you have to pay to park in the garage across the street. Can be pricey!
“travelodge”
I've stayed at this Travelodge about 8 times now - it's the best hotel for the value. It is what is is. Nothing too extravagant; but all I need in Chicago is a nice safe place to sleep that is clean!
